Anybody who thinks WMU is going to drop down to 1-AA has a screw loose.

Some OU and Kent State fans think the MAC belongs in 1-AA and the MAC should create a plan for dropping down a level.
Schools out there like WMU, Toledo, NIU, and Miami are never going to go for it.

Where do such discussions (thread) exist?
But you're right, the schools and fans of those schools you listed don't want to play meaningless 1-AA football.
You can find "some fans" at any school to say just about anything.
It's a completely meaningless expression. It's like "some statistics show..."
If you can say "some AD's" or "some unversity presidents" say something, then it has some weight.
I just had a flashback to last season and I am now jonesin' for some Bronco football!!!

Checking attendance records I see that neither OU or KSU have ever had a crowd in the MAC top 10. WMU has 5 of them.
The all time series with OU has WMU with a 29-27 edge, and WMU with a lopsided 30-18 edge over Kent. Maybe Kent should consider taking their 4000 a game football attendance and heading for 1-AA.
In 1997 we had a team with a 2-9 record that beat Kent State 76-27. Kent's coach was really pizzed at us, and the following year vowed revenge. That year we went into Kent with an 8-3 team. Kent got their revenge, holding us to 50 points, in a 50-27 squeeker. Yep, those Kent folks were right............we just dont belong lmfao lmfao
Chipdip1, thanks for posting the pictures. Anybody have any more? I'd like to eventually get to all the MAC schools (one at a time) if the mods will allow it.

If you haven't been yo NIU yet, make sure you stop by our board so you and Kedzman can set a time and place to meet. You definately would have a lot to talk about. lmfao
I had heard on an am radio show earlier this week that Western should drop its athletic programs down a couple of notches because it costs too much to run. The money saved could be put into academics and build up the reputation of the university academically. The people I heard were saying that since we will never be able to compete against UM and MSU in anything it would be wiser to try to beat them academically. I wish I would have had a cellphone to call in with. What bull.

This radio host(s) sounds like he knows absolutely nothing about sports. Call in tomorrow or another day and tell him off.

Never happen. The new Prez is fully committed to athletics ala Elson Floyd.
