Over on the C-USA board it is being talked about the Tangerine Bowl not being happy with the BIG 12. The bowl is going to start shopping for a new conference to go against the ACC #4. It looks like they will go after SEC or the MAC Champion or C-USA champion. That could be great for the MAC, because it will be hard to get an SEC team and the CUSA won't leave the Liberty bowl so the MAC might have a shot.
With divisional play, CUSA could do something w/ the Liberty Bowl like the MAC does w/ the MCB.
W/ a bowl like the Tangerine bowl, it would be hard to support the other bowls. Who would get sent to the MCB? The MAC must give them a good team.
The RCA bowl could take a lesser bowl, but if 6-5 Akron goes, that's a decent drive, and l'd bet the fans wouldn't be as enthusiastic.
I'm not convinced the MAC can handle 4 bowls. Maybe if Akron and CMU's new coaches turn it on...
Just curious have they officially announced a third bowl "Indy Bowl" yet.I still think the MAC will have a shot at the Liberty Bowl. IMO
I really don't see the MAC getting 4 bowls but stranger things have happened.
