I just laugh about all of the loser mfans that spent there hard earned money to go to fla and see the mountaingueers lose another bowl game.
On the radio and tv here in charleston, they were bragging how they had so many more fans then Md did, well of course they did. Md had already beaten them once, they deemed it as a let down to play WVU again. :D
Marshall has never played Maryland. But Marshall has been beaten by WVU EVERY time they played. Just think about how bad NIU would have beaten Marshall this year. :D

I don't think anyone in the MAC can gloat about their record against wvu. Miami tied them about 10 years ago (closest any of us has come to beating them)....... they schedule MAC teams for a guaranteed win or two every year and look down on the entire conference.

Rocky. NIU sucks. Marshall would've beat them this year. Marshall would've beat WVU almost every year if not every year. WVU beat Marshall ONCE. Oh wow. That was back in 97. Not one of Marshall's better years. WVU got lucky. After that game Marshall starting getting better and was a top team. WVU didn't want to play in Huntington so they canceled all the rest of the games.
WVU's impressive wins are against overrated Pitt and Va Tech teams that they play every year.
Oh yeah. Did I mention NIU sucks? Marshall could've beat them this year.

Of course, you'd need to be about 100 years of age to have any memory of the first 4 but that's beside the point.
They beat us in '97......42-31, our first game in 1A. We led the game 31-28 late. We had a 10-3 team that year, MAC champs, Heisman finalist in Moss. Pennington was a Soph. but hadn't played in a live game since '95 due to being redshirted in '96 to allow Kresser to play a year when he transferred from Florida.
I am happy they lost. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.
