I remember when UCF could easily say they were the fourth best football program in florida behind UF, FSU, and UM. Then USF started a Football program, first 1-AA...then Indy 1-A, now CUSA, next Big East all in the time UCF has been playing in 1-A. Face the reality Knight fans, the Big East is a superior football conference than CUSA with much better bowls and a TV deal worth 3-4 times as much money, at least. USF is now number 4 in Florida, and with FAU and FIU....not to mention FAMU moving up to 1-A......UCF is going to lose its recruiting advantage.

O'leary regime almost Dead on Arrival.

If CUSA is better why did UL, UC, and USF run at the first opportunity to the Big East? The Big East will be an awesome basketball conference, which alone will be enough to keep the dough flowing. Yes, the football will be a step down from where the Big East is currently, but in 5 years....someone will emerge as a title contender in football. Pitt is almost there as a program. Louisville is capable, as is the very strong South Florida Bulls.

Why go to UCF when you can play in the Big East at USF? The argument that CUSA will leap frog the Big East makes as much sense as the idea the MAC will be ahead of the Big East in the future.
You don't have a clue , do ya ?

Um....fill me in. Exactly why do you think that CUSA will be better than the Big East?

Oh, wait I know the answer.....Its because you school plays in CUSA and therefore despite inferior resources and opportunities you just have to believe that its a greater conference.

I'm honest, I'd take the Big East over the MAC in a heartbeat.

If I were a kitty cat fan, I'd be more concerned about beating the 1AA teams on my schedule before I worried about the Big Least. 04-rock
Ahhhhh make it stop!!!! 03-banghead

Just let them go on their way already!

Odd , I would vote for you on the funniest & coolest signatures ..
I'll have to say you come up with some good ones ...
First off, let me say that I find it *very* amusing that an OHIO fan is telling us that our program is on the decline.

Secondly, can you please tell me why the new big east is any better than CUSA, or the MAC for that matter? They currently have no ranked teams and Pitt and WVU, 2 *supposed* powers just got BLOWN out in their bowl games by average teams. USF has no bowl wins, no cofnerence wins, and no top 25 appearances....just like us. Cincy is average at best and UL is a good but not over powering program. Where is the advantage, kit boy?

As for USF being number 4, please tell me how you support that? They have never been in contention for a CUSA title and had to play 2 non scholarship teams this year to reach 7 wins. They've had 1 good 9-2 season, and guess what....UCF had a 9-2 season in 98. Does that mean we're the 4th best now???

As for FIU and FAU....give me a break. They're joning the sunbelt and have absoluely no fan base whatsoever and they are located in perhaps one of the biggest bandwagon fan capital of the world....south florida.

As for recruiting, you're just plain ignorant. We just hired arguably one of the best coaches in the country, are located in Orlando, have great facilities, and are entering into a southern based conference. O'Leary took a struggling program at GT and landed big recruits and made them a rock solid team.

It seems to me like this entire post was formed out of jelousy, and perhaps agony that you attend Ohio University.

Knight Time, you truly are one delusional poster.

First off, Pitt lost by seven points in their bowl game. How do you figure they got "BLOWN" out?

USF is number four because the Hurricanes, the Seminoles, and the Gators are 1, 2, and 3. How hard is that to comprehend? They have only been in CUSA one year, who cares if they have never been in contention for a title? 7 wins is still more than 3 wins.

Funny I thought Orlando was the biggest bandwagon capital in the world.

You just hired one of the best coaches in the country??? Why becasue it says so on his resume?

WOW. This is hypocricy at it's finest.

I've heard all season from you and the other MACsters that UCF must really suck since we've never contended for a MAC title (even tho we did in our first year) and that we've never done squat in conference since we have never contended for a title, RIGHT?

YET....when you're talking about USF not contending for a title it is for some reason OK since they've only been in 1 year????? You are totaly pathetic and a hypocrite to the core. It's obvious that the sole purpose of you and many other posters is simply to degrade UCF since we're leaving the precious MAC.

As for having one of the "arguably best coaches", it doesn't say it on his resume. It actually says it on the award he received for coach of the year. For idiots like you, that means he was the best coach that year. Can your coach claim to having won that???? Didn't think so.

How many wins does he have for UCF? 03-lol

I guess my post was way too facual and honest for most of you.

It was very facual, thank you.
Your welcome Oddball.

I am still very amused that an Ohio fan started this post. Perhaps he should take a look at what his program is doing, UCF is doing just fine in correction what went wrong.

BTW- UCF basketball is 7-2 and ranked in the mid major top 25 on collegeinsider.com

Big in conference game tonight vs. Georgia State who is 8-2 with a win over ranked Auburn.

Personally Id rather go to Ohio, where they dont hold to those new fangeled ideas in football such as the forward pass. :D

When the new big east lands a team in the top 20 for more than 2 weeks, let me know. I believe that both the MAC and CUSA have done it this year.

USF will have the big game every year vs. Rutgers and Uconn though
