I'll admit it. I'm a stat freak. So humor me and check out this stat.

Marshall women are having one of their best season's ever. They are 10-3 overall and 2-1 in the MAC. They have NEVER started a season in the MAC as good as 2-1. But wait! That's not the stat.

Here's the stat. Look who's getting the minutes for the Lady Thundering Herd.

Seniors 57 minutes/game
Juniors 33
Sophomores 44
Freshmen 76

They are good this year, but they are a year or two away from being REALLY good.

And FYI...

The Marshall women host the defending MAC champions tonight!

I was at the game last night. I was very impressed with the Broncos. Lori Crisman is the kind of player coaches (and fans) dream of! She's big, fast, skilled, mean, and plays a thousand miles an hour every second she's on the floor!

Western was very good. They came out pissed off and just whipped, dominated, manhandled the Herd. It was 96-72 and the game wasn't as close as the score! Broncos had a 59-25 halftime lead!!!

And Kent knocks off Miami in OT to give the East 3 1-loss teams.
(and 3 zero-win teams, too.)

Lori Crisman is one of the most unsung players on this team. Whenever she is on the floor it's as if she loses all respect for her body and she has it flying out of bounds, over the media table and just about everywhere else. In a post game comment following the Broncos win over Buffalo I think it was Coach Stewart that said she is the most feared player in the MAC because of what she does on the court. :D Thankfully she's on our side.

As for the game, that sounds about right. The Broncos are generally a first half team, but they have been working on maintaining that intensity throughout the entire game.

Amen! She intimidated a very young Herd team last night.

And how about the BG women??? Off to a 9-5 start, 2-1 MAC with 3-4 Frosh starting or playing significant minutes. Remember these names....Ali Mann, Liz Honegger and Carin Horne.

Coach Curt Miller is gonna return BG to the glory days in Women's hoops!!

I will finally get a chance to see them play this Sat against CMU.
