One thing I noticed this week, for the first time all season, my ratings matched Sagarin's from top to bottom. Maybe there's something to my formula!

Question:
Which Ohio university basketball team has more wins than any team on this list, is ranked in the top 20 nationally, beat the #8 team on their floor, and has yet to debut on the Stick-list?
:D

(Kind of sounds like a new chewing gum, doesn't it? Sticklist--I like it!) 03-wink
How about Cedarville?

BG at #10?

Don't look now but the Falcons are coming together and starting to roll. Funny how you have Akron ahead of BG when BG just beat the Zippies on their own floor last week! BG now 8-8, 4-2 MAC.

Better move the Falcons up to at least #6.

You don't follow hoops much, do ya Stick? 03-wink

My ratings are limited to division I teams. Not because I don't believe there are teams from lower divisions that deserve to be rated ahead of some of the clowns on my list, but because my ignorance of them prevents me from accurately placing them where they belong.

There are some pretty darn good basketball teams in Ohio. There are also some, that aren't so good. The Miami Redskinnyhawks are usually the Mendoza line. Take everyone from Miami on up and they're pretty good. Below Miami, they stink. The Buckeyes fell below the Mendoza line a couple of weeks ago. The Zips fell below the line this week. Just a hunch but, I don't think either will climb above that line the rest of the season.

Go Cedarville Cigar Boxes!

Be patient. The Zips are free falling.

Cedarville is NOT lower division!
It's a competing division.
The Yellow jackets are NAIA!

BUGS is 6-8 against real competition.

Stick is probably just remembering BUGS' stellar performances against Buffalo, IPFW, Fairfield and American.

Let me repeat myself.

Fair enough, Stick.

Bobcatfan,

OU having another banner sports year, eh? BG is breaking in freshman and finally got injured veterans back. We started horribly...what's your excuse?

We'll see who's enjoying life come tourney time! 04-rock

Not to point fingers at who sucks worse but Ohio was beating BG on a consistent basis under Grobe. Granted we did have the one blowout loss. But, BG's current level of football success is still a recent thing. Ohio was headed into the right direction under Grobe, then we got knorred. A tragedy really. But, what success stories like BG's football program teaches you is with a good coach, any college can develop a good team very quickly. Grobe did it with players that went 0-11. Likewise, bad coaching can send any team right down the crapper.
