Obviously, nothing official from the MAC as of yet but this is the poop on one of our boards. Not sure about the order:

Troy State
@Ohio State
@ Georgia
NIU (damn. No choke Smilie)
@ BUGS
Buffalo (homecoming) :chair:
CFU
@ Golden Flushes
Miami (OH)
@ Zippers
@ Ohio U.

In other words, our two crossover games would be NIU in Huntington and @ BUGS. Not a bad schedule at all and one that should give us a good chance to win the East in our last year (assuming Stan Hill stays healthy).
Im gonna be pissed if Marshall doesn't make one last visit to the Glass bowl this year!
The NIU schedule lists the Huskies as hosting Akron and visiting UCF in 2004, so I am not quite sure where you got your details. Hvve not heard any rumors of this changing either.

I thought we would come to Toledo since you guys were here last
year. And I thought WMU would come to Huntington ..Same teams
as last year but at different venu's..

That would only make sense. Toledo and Marshall have played 3 times during the regular season since Marshall's return in 1997; twice in Huntington and once in Toledo.

1999 - Huntington
2000 - Toledo
2003 - Huntington

It's bad enough that most of our MAC Championship games were played in Huntington because the MAC had the first 4 MACC all in Huntington, but then to play more regular season games in Huntington without a return trip??? 03-banghead Come on Chryst!
Thats what I thought too. It seems like the right thing to do. Since Toledo played down there in 1999 regular season, and Marshall played up here in 2000, then Toledo played down there again in 2003, it seems the league should follow the pattern and have Marshall come back up here for their away crossover game of 2004. Besides there isn't anybody in the MAC the could give Marshall the proper sendoff that they deserve except for Toledo.

Could it be that the MAC office knows what kind of a rivalry there is between Toledo and Marshall and with the Herd leaving the conference after this fall; maybe they are afraid of confrontations amongst fans at the games? 03-confused
Maybe, but there isn't another matchup in the MAC that even comes close to what the Rockets and the Herd bring to the table. Its gotta be the conferences top draw as far as television.

I would hope that wouldn't be the case ...but there are a
few slugs out there ..
Toledo will have their opportunity, in Huntington that is.

The 2004 MAC Championship will be back where it belongs. :D
Here is the breakdown of Marshall's cross over games since rejoining the MAC in 1997(Home Games listed first):

Toledo- (2-1)
WMU-(1-2)
NIU-(1-1)
EMU-(1-1)
CMU-(2-2)
Ball St.-(2-1)
*BG-(3-2)

* All of BG's game came when they were part of the MAC East.

I see 4 road losses for the T.H. on this schedule including 2 MAC. You'll need to win your home games to have a shot at a final MACC. Only 7 months to go until game 1 of 2004 04-rock

All our 2004 opponents were listed listed in the 2003 media guide.

Adam & Eve??? Isn't that the company that supplied us with our current mascot?
From Vandelay on the Vine:
Quote:It was stated to me that if Marshall & UCF stay in the MAC this year (and it looks that way right now), your two cross over games are at BG and hosting NIU.

Ah, you're familiar with their work.....
Good to see the Herd making one last trip to BGSU. We've played down there 3 times since 97 while Marshall has played at BG twice.
