Quote: #13 seed:WESTERN MICHIGAN BRONCOS

How small is the margin of error for mid-majors? Western Michigan splits with two decent teams (Kent State, Ball State) and drops all the way to "last team in." Yikes.

"QUALITY WINS"
(vs. RPI 1-25) NONE
(vs. RPI 26-50) N-UAB

"BAD LOSSES"
(vs. RPI 101-200) at Detroit
(vs. 200 or below) NONE

WHY SEEDED HERE
No longer leading the MAC (6-1).
7-2 road/neutral record.

MAY DROP BECAUSE
NonConf SOS No. 243.
Next four opponents are sub-240.

Quote:#11 seed: Kent Golden Flashes

The Golden Flashes blew past their toughest MAC competition, taking care of both Western Michigan and Toledo last week. Kent may not be threatened again until the Feb. 21 bracket buster event.

"QUALITY WINS"
(vs. RPI 1-25) NONE
(vs. RPI 26-50) Western Michigan

"BAD LOSSES"
(vs. RPI 101-200) at Miami, Ohio
(vs. 200 or below) NONE

WHY SEEDED HERE
RPI No. 46.
6-1 MAC record.

MAY DROP BECAUSE
NonConf SOS No. 211.
1-1 vs. RPI Top 50.

UCF is listed as the current A-Sun bid in a #14 seed. No detail in report because it's an auto-bid and there is no chance for an at-large should they not win their tourney.
Kent State is a "decent" team. Ugh.

5 straight post-season appearances. 20 win seasons. And they're DECENT!

Is it the Flashes problem that no one will play them OOC?
See, this is the problem with the RPI... WMU gets no credit for spanking two PAC-10 teams (proving they would be competitive in that league), and is going to lose ground even if they keep winning. 03-banghead
