<a href='http://www.mdjonline.com/92/10131660.txt' target='_blank'>Josh Satterthwait from Marietta, GA</a>

Quote:Josh Satterthwait is a tight end, which is why he's going to Miami of Ohio.

Satterthwait, a 6-foot-4, 250-pounder, chose the Red Hawks over Louisville and Central Florida after finishing his official visits this weekend.

During the recruiting process, several coaches talked to the Lassiter standout about playing on either offensive or defensive line. But at Miami, he'll be a tight end, at least to start with.

"Tight end's always my first love," Satterthwait said. "But they said they don't know how big I'll get. I'm just glad I get a shot at tight end first."
Dodo must be lovin' it.

He's probably day dreaming about the kid in a pair of tights as we speak.
Nice steal guys. We were recruiting this young man hard.

6'4" and 250 lbs is pretty big for a TE. Is he saying that other schools wanted to move him to another position on the line (or DL)? I'd guess much of this will have to do w/ how good his receiving abilities are. If he has good hands, this will be an outstanding pick up.
We already got a Top 50 from Georgia for D-line: James Case, 6-2 240, Kennesaw (Harrison).

At last report, we were also still being considered by a top WR prospect, but I doubt we'll land him ( Inquoris Johnson 5-11 170 Atlanta (Crim) Ga., Tenn., Miami (Ohio), UTC ).

I'm just glad we're going head-to-head with some of the "big boys" and winning. We landed a kid from Texas who was being recruited by Colorado, OK State, and some other Big 12 schools.

We never would have been able to do this, pre-Hoeppner.
