Oh well , won't miss what you never had ...

Guess that move to a better conference couldn't sway him.

Of course having a VA kid play in TX and MS might not have been as interesting...nah couldn't be.

Keep going for those MS kids, I'm sure they'll be almost as good as the VA kids that are no longer interested. 03-banghead
His brother Chris Royal is currently on the team.......that is what I figured might sway him. We did get a verbal from Demone Goins of Miss. today supposed to be a great athlete......

And you can continue getting the 4th pick of kids in Ohio ..
After OSU , Michigan & ND ..
Notre Dame really doesn't recruit much in Ohio these days. OSU and Michigan go after the same kids. Right now BG, Miami, UC and UT are slugging it out with Pitt, Michigan State, WV and Minnesota for kids at the level below OSU and Michigan.

Several of the kids that BG will sign today had offers and visits at Big 10 and Big East schools. We did GREAT in Ohio.
Hey! Hakuna matata, dude! Your self-imposed recruiting restrictions are over, and I heard y'all were cleaning up in recruiting this year.

Speaking of all this:

DT Alfred Martin committed to Toledo and will sign a LOI today. He was down to Toledo and Ohio State. http://www.bucknuts.com reported yesterday that he chose Toledo.

Congrats , steal as many as you can from the BCS slugs ..
And, FWIW, Miami's <a href='http://www.tennessean.com/sports/localsports/archives/04/02/46400980.shtml?Element_ID=46400980' target='_blank'>heir apparent</a> at quarterback.

Did Martin get an OSU offer? I recall that Louisville, UC and you guys were on him. I wasn't aware OSU had any interest.

He sounds like a great prospect in a "needs" area.

Sounds good , I guess MU didn't recruit any QB's , loaded at that
postion right now. I can remember back when Ben R. signed with
Miami , I read his size and HS stats and wondered how good he would
be in college ...needless to say he didn't disappoint ...
Good to see an Ohio kid turn down the "grayshirt". BG lost a couple of kids over the past few years to Big East schools that offered them that deal.

Can you say filler?

Unless the competing schools give a scholarship offer, you can't say you beat them out for a player.

One of the players in question with N/A for other schools (DOUG LEGURSKY) verballed to us a LONG time ago, and when other 'bigger' schools contacted him, he stated he was firm in his verbal committment to the Herd. Therefore, although other schools were interested, there were no other schools really 'considered' after Marshall offered. I don't know about the others though. One things Legursky certainly is not is a 'filler'.
