I'm assuming you've read the MAC bylaws. Our other two ambulance chasers (OK, DG's a tax lawyer, but what's the difference?) think that the MAC could expel Marshall and UCF, and at worst, forfeit the exit fees. At best, they could kick them out next year, and still get the money. What is your "legal eagle" opinion of this -- taking off your Green-colored glasses, of course?

Oh, believe me: if the MAC can kick you out without a protracted lawsuit, they will. I think most ADs would be in favor of forfeiting the exit fees.

You guys used to really like scheduling I-AA schools -- here's your chance to do that again! 04-rock
The AD's aren't dumb.

They know Marshall is loaded next year.

I hope we get to play and stick it to you one more time.

Sure.

I can tell you first hand that Miami believes wholeheartedly that we will beat the snot out of Marshall next year. That includes the entire athletic staff, coaching, staff, players, trainers, and janitorial staff (former Marshall props).

And, when you say, "loaded," are you speaking of guns or drugs? 03-wink
I'm glad Miami thinks that.

It will intesify the pain you will feel when Marshall leaves their farewell gift to the league.

What, are you going to donate your surveillance equipment to our annual fund as a part of your exit fees?

I'm pretty sure "gifts-in-kind" would be accepted.

We've got lots of money we can donate. We got it from some out of control coaching staff that attacks press boxes and fans.

HF4L wins. Fatality.
Herd fan 4 Life: I guess you can start making up some signs (on the press box, etc.) for our game with you next year if we are still coming to H-Ton, but both Coaches in question are gone from the Miami staff. As you know, Wauford got a second chance at Kent, and Taver just got hired as an assistant with the Browns in the NFL.

But using LGI logic, "no one cares about the MAC", especially on the national level, right?

Then how in the hell will kicking your sorry cheating asses to the curb "show the nation" anything?

But please, continue talking out of both sides of your mouth, like the rest of your fellow Herdies...
GB, the Herd are the ones leaving the conference........the conference thus "owes" Marshall nothing. And I'm sure Marshall feels little in the way of obligations toward their lame-duck league. Kicking Marshall and UCF out for the last year would be a pretty drastic measure I'd admit, but given the situtation (C-USA poaching our league, voting against our amendments, and possibly considering more encroachment with overtures to Toledo, etc.), the "gloves are off" and there's no way the MAC should allow itself to be a party to allowing Marshall to "rub it in" the conference's face by "representing" the MAC in a bowl while trumpeting their new conference affiliation and how much they "dispise" the MAC. What a PR coup for the conniving C-USA if Marshall gets a MAC bowl bid!

Why should the MAC allow that if they have it in their control to stop it? Again, if C-USA was being more "cooperative" instead of perhaps trying to destroy their non-BCS conference rivals, I think that the MAC might be in a more compromising mood about all of this. Still, in the end they may choose to do nothing, and let the lame duck year play out. :(

hey, leave fuc out of it, ok? 03-lol

:D i make myself laugh sometimes :D
I muct admit to being torn...Marshall will soon be a conference brother. But as a CUSA fan taking part in an ugly divorce, I also feel the pain of the MAC fans. Therefore, I refuse to take sides.

Although I will add that Marshall better be prepared next season, because everyone will be gunning for them.

FWIW, even if there are no legal penalties, there is more at stake than exit fees. Marshall is scheduled to play on the road in Athens, Akron, and Kent this season. Those are three places that Marshall fans travel better than any others in the MAC.

So the thought of sticking it to Marshall might appeal to them, I bet the thought of replacing Marshall on the schedule with Eastern Michigan does not.

They might do it anyway. It wouldn't be the first time somebody had cut of his nose to spite his face.

That's nothing new.

MAC teams "gun" for us every year.
