Riley caught four passes for 52 yards in the spring game to help the White team defeat the Green team, 10-8. He said his goals for the upcoming season are to work hard and to do what he can for the team.

"Maybe not start but just be a big part of the offense, be in clutch positions," he said. "If they need me to do something, then I'll do it."

Knorr said that Riley will contribute on special teams next year and will compete for one of the inside receiver positions.

Earning a scholarship is a goal that Riley said he wants to eventually accomplish. He said whether or not he receives a scholarship will not affect him though because he simply wants to play football.

Knorr said Riley is heading in the right direction toward a possible scholarship.

"He hasn't been awarded a scholarship, but he's on the track to getting one," Knorr said. "We anticipate some good things out of him this fall."
