For that matter, which ones will be free agents?

I'll start. For CMU, there are no sure-fire draft picks this year. The best of the departing bunch are:

RB Terrance Jackson: 6', 230lb, somewhere between 4.6 and 4.7 40 time.

Comment: Has respectable size, speed, and toughness but injury history means free agent.

OL Derek McLaughlin: 6'5", 320lb, no idea what his 40 time is (does it matter?).

Comment: Has played at both T and G effectively. Aggressive and a good team player. Unfortunately, CMU's overall record means he played in virtual anonymity. Probably a free agent but could be a sleeper for someone.

DL/DE Matt Wohlgemuth: 6'5", 265lb. Unsure on 40 time but quick for a big man: 4.9?

Comment: On CMU's 2003 defense, everyone would be overlooked, and Matt's a classic tweener. Probably Arena ball, if anything.

P Brian Brandt: 6'2", 200lb.

Comment: Averaged a little over 40yd/pick during his four year career, despite playing in windy Kelly/Shorts stadium. If he gets a tryout, he has an outside shot, based on consistency and leg strength. Whether there will be enough interest is another matter.
Josh Harris is going to go fourth, fifth round.

Everyone else is hoping to be signed as a free agent. DB Janssen Patton may be our best bet from the chatter I'm hearing.
Erik Faaseon, Brandon Hefflin, Chaz williams, Darric randolph, Frank Ofili, and Paul Dye have hopes as far as i know. I don't think any will be drafted except for maybe Faasen. The dude is just a monster.
I've heard that Brandon Hefflin has impressed some scouts and might be a 7th round pick.
Darius Watts (WR) should get drafted and my guess is 4th round. Butchie Wallace (RB) had a good if not stellar career at Marshall but I've heard he impressed the scouts with his speed and strength so he might go in the 6th or 7th rounds. Jason Rader (TE) should get a free agent look and might make it based on his blocking ability. Nate McPeek (OL) should get a free agent look as well. Luke Salmons (OL) might get a free agent look. Others (Joey Stepp, OL, Toriano Brown, DL, Gladstone Coke, DB and Charlie Tynes, LB) are hopeful but I doubt they'll have a chance even as free agents.

You never know though. So much depends on how they do in workouts and in interviews. Last year, everyone expected Chris Crocker (DB) to be either a late round or free agent. Instead, he had good workouts and good interviews and went in the 3rd round.
From everthing I have read or seen, Jason Babin will go late in the first round. I am just hoping that he doesnt get the Mel Kiper jinx.
There's talk in Buffalo Bills camp that they are high on Josh Harris and Darius Watts. They have a need to get a young QB to groom and a WR to complement Moulds. If they go QB in the 1st round they might try to trade up to get Ben R....if not, I could see Harris as a mid-round pick. If they go WR in the 1st round they would take one of the Williams boys and pass on Watts.

As for UB, they have three guys rated at their positions but they most likely won't be drafted. They'll sign as Free Agents.

Lamar Wilcher ILB 51st
Mark Graham FS 59th
Jeff Mills OT 69th
As far as sure-fire picks on draft day, Miami has QB Ben R. (1st), and Jacob Bell, our talented OG who is expected to go in round 3 or 4. A couple of other players (Cal Murray-RB, Matt Brandt-TE) and another one of our offensive lineman are likely looking at FA offers.
Other UCF fans feel free to chime in. From what I'm reading though I think the potential draftees are:
- G David Ashkinaz
- T Kyle Watkins

If they go at all, it would be the later rounds IMO. As for free agents, I can see our hated QB Schneider going for sure. Every other graduate didn't make much of an impression. Now, talk to me again next year when Sands and Bigby, our two safeties, are ready to come out.

I have access to ESPN Insider and one of the features is scouting reports from Scouts, Inc. TE Michael Gaines has the highest grade of all the draft eligible UCF players. I expect him to go off the board first sometime on the second day. Kyle Watkins should be intriguing to some team in the 6-7 round area. David might be intriguing -- as a center -- to some team in the 7th round ... free agency is more likely though. Oh and don't be surprised if CB Omar "NRA" Laurence gets selected either. And to think he could've had 2 more years to improve himself.

It just shows that we really didn't lose many players from last year.

Someone is going to take a chance on Patten either late round or FA and land a great player.
