You had me until this. There is no way you can accurately compare these two and say your guy is better. If Bruce played against the speed that the defenses from Florida, Florida State and Va Tech, just to name a few, put on the field, I suspect his numbers wouldn't look so gaudy.
Well that's like saying that Michael Turner would not be nearly as good if he played for Maryland. Yet we know he played pretty well against Maryland, Alabama, and Iowa State.
By the way, one of Miami's opponents in the Big East was Pittsburgh. Gradkowski got to play Pitt last year in his 4th career start. Gradkowski was 49 of 62 for 461 yards and 3 TD's with just 1 interception against Pitt. The 461 yards and 79% completion percentage were the best marks by any school against the Pitt defense last year.
Toledo isn't over-rated.
There's a difference between teams that "have potential to win" and teams that "know how to win". Teams with potential are over-rated, teams that know how to win are respected.

Toledo isn't overrated because no one has them rated as a top 10 team in America. They're easily, IMO, a top 30 team going into 2004.
