Isn't being named "Sportswriter of the Year" in West Virginia a little bit like being the best ballet dancer in Poughkeepsie? I mean, it's nice and all, but everyone knows the real show is some where down the road.

Nonetheless, I'd take this as yet another sign to WV's sentient remaining residents that it may be time to relocate out of state.

Well he does break stories that no one else even get close to.

He is a gifted writer, and this is what the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association sees.

What they don't see is how god awful wrong he can be.
I like Chuck.

He is a good guy to talk to at MAC venues and I for one will miss him once Marshall leaves the MAC and he longer trecks to Cleveland & Detroit respectively.

Say what you want about him, but I certainly wish Toledo had a beat writer with half of the passion towards Rocket sports that he has towards Marshall.

He is a good worker, more than I can say about many of those in the MAC News Media Association.

Congrats to Chuck from VanDelay!

That's exactly the problem with Chuck. He's not a reporter, he's a cheerleader (and a mean-spirited one at that, willing to pass along any bit of innuendo he comes across so long as it makes Marshall look good and anyone else in the MAC look bad).

Those of us who are journalists know the difference between the two, and Chuckie Mullet is the textbook definition of a cheerleading hack.

Is he a cheerleader hack or just an honest reporter 03-wink

Congrats Chuckie 04-rock
The former. He wouldn't know the latter if it bit him on his business-in-front, party-in-back hairstyle...

The cluelessness of Marshall fans rears it's ugly head once again.
