Bye.

Congratulations to UTEP and to C-USA.
Now that this is done I hope that C-USA will cooperate in all ways with the other heretofore labeled non-BCS Conferences--the MAC, Mountainwest, and Sun Belt. A lot could be accomplished if all these conferences would pull together.

I had a feeling it would be UTEP.

Glad it's over for C-USA........now we await the "fall-out" on the other conferences. Will it ever end???
It would be nice to see C-USA cooperate now with the other non-BCS conferences........I may be paranoid but their vote on the MAC IA attendance legislation and their apparent willingness to "gut" the MAC by taking Miami and Toledo leads me to believe that they're quite happy to see other non-BCS conferences weakened. Maybe now that they've got their 12 teams and are happy their apparent "scorched earth" policy may subside.
Throughout this process (BE to ACC, C-USA to BE, WAC and MAC to C-USA, C-USA to MWC), it's refreshing to see that long-standing MAC members have stood together, making this conference the most stable of all the non-BCS conferences.

Mike Price, George O'Leary, Larry Eustachy and Bob Pruitt all in one conference. Can Rick Neuheisel be far behind?

You may feel as though you have a "backing" on this board, but I see you for waht you are- a very sad, negative individual.

No intent by C-USA to harm other non-BCS conferences KT? And how in the heck would you know anyway? Did you sit in on one of their meetings?
I just call 'em as I see 'em, and nothing tells me that C-USA is the least bit concerned about how they impact other conferences, and their vote on the IA legislation WAS telling, since their poaching of other non-BCS conferences (while understandable since the BE poached them) ought to have resulted in them supporting those conferences on the attendance legislation in my book. A conspiracy...........no, I wouldn't call it that, but if they destroy the WAC or MAC in the process, I don't think any tears would be shed, do you?

Now if we can just break off the east division into a new conference (maybe even bring Tulane):
UCF, Marshall, ECU, S. Miss., UAB and Memphis

KT: You didn't read my post carefully enough. I acknowledged that the loss of teams to other conferences, primarily the BE, forced C-USA's hand on expansion. I do not blame them for that. But, after taking some of the other conference's best draws (i.e. Marshall from the MAC), then they turn around and vote against the MAC attendance legislation. I find that to be a predatory vote which indicates that they are not just interested in strengthening their own conference, but would like to see other non=BCS conferences weakened in the offing.
