No brainer for me it has to be seeing Toledo in a January bowl game. Of course my favorite NHL team has won 3 Stanley Cups in my lifetime, and my favorite NBA team has won 2 NBA Titles in my lifetime so those are already accomplished.

I'm a Bills and Sabres fan and that means 0 for 6 in Championships. That leaves a bitter taste! I also root for UB sports since losing builds character! (just kidding, losing sucks!)
I chose UB playing in a Jan.1 Bowl game since that is clearly the most far-fetched scenario of the bunch.

Hoops.
Being so close to the Final Four two years ago left a burning hunger. The odds of either of the first two happening are so small, however.

Actually, this was a "toughie" for me, choosing between the NCAA hoops title game and a Jan. 1 BCS bowl game. Either would suit me just fine! :D

Odds favor a NCAA hoops Champ game than Jan. 1 bowl.

I'd love to see the Rockets on Jan 1., but I know that'll never happen with the current structure. :(
So, being a longtime Browns fan I had to vote for my NFL team to win the SB. Man, Browns win the Super Bowl. I don't think anyone would be able to bring me down for awhile. Yet, most Browns fans would ***** up a storm about SOMETHING, I'm sure.
My second wish nearly came true in 1997, 1 out away from a World Series championship and Jose Mesa BLOWS it.

I chose football on Jan 1. I was thinking that I would settle for going .500 in b-ball and FINALLY beating Marshall in b-ball.

I voted for NIU in the NCAA championship game ( :crying: ), although I'm with Robert; I'd take a .500 season at this point.
Then again, I call BS on this poll. When did winning the freaking Stanley Cup (   ) become so important that IT gets included in such a poll and winning the WORLD SERIES does not?!!!
White Sox winning the series is my pick in a real poll. :D

I'm with Dan on this one....I couldn't care less about hockey, unless I'm actually attending a game. Can't stand to watch it on tv.
As for the poll...I went with UT football, though I'd also love to see an NCAA final game. The rest...who cares.

I used to hate hockey, but now that we've had the Predators here in Nashville for a few years, I've really taken a liking to the game. There are still bits and pieces of the game that I don't necessarily understand, but I do love watching my NASHVILLE PREDATORS...of course, I enjoy Tennessee Titans football and my WKU Hilltoppers in all sports too. Throw in Vanderbilt men's and women's basketball plus some of the high school football and basketball that I can make it to, and I'm an all-around sports nut. :)

Of course, I do like soccer, so I'm obviously a sociopath with a sadistic streak.....but I still won't watch hockey, unless it's a compelling story like Ray Bourque winning a Cup after 20 years of futility.
