I was wondering how the MAC baseball teams are faring against the Big 10 this season. If your team has played a Big 10 team this season, how did you do? Are there any Big 10 teams on your upcoming schedule?

EMU is 2-2 against the Big 10 with a split against Michigan, a win over Ohio State, and a narrow loss to Michigan State. That's the entire Big 10 slate for Eastern this season.
0-1
Lost 5-3 to the *****eyes down in Myrtle Beach. 03-banghead

Beat them in men's and women's golf and men's track. 04-rock
No other Big 10 games in any sport.
In our only Big 11 game this season, Ball State beat Purdue. However, we close the season with 4 games at Miami, the one in Florida. Should be interesting.
1-0.

We beat Purdue in West Laugh-a-lot.

(We fell just short of beating #8 Notre Dame for the fifth time in six years, falling to the Irish in South Bend in 15 innings).

We play Notre Dame in 2 weeks.

Iowa - W 6-5
Northwestern - L 14-6

Just a guess, but the Big 10 isn't very good in baseball?
0-2. Lost to Minnesata and Iowa. :crying: :crying:

We're hanging around in the MAC west, but the truth is we don't have a lot going on in baseball this year.

That could all change with a sweep of EMU this weekend. :D

The Big Ten is a good baseball conference, just not any better than the MAC. Most of the schools from each conference are near one another so there are a lot of opportunities to meet on the diamond.

You should win. Outside of their stud pitcher who threw eight innings of scoreless relief against us, I wasn't really impressed by them. We typically beat them, even though they refuse to play in Muncie.

Isn't Notre Dame ranked 11th in the country right now?

Between the 3 polls, ND is ranked 8th, 10th, and 11th. Thanks for the link HF4L!

UCF can beat ND, but it will definitely be a tough game.

I personally think Notre Dame is ranked as high as they are because of their name. I've talked to many college baseball fans "in the know" who have seen ND play, and they have all said that Notre Dame is not a legit top 20 team. They said they are good, but are too inconsistent.

Having said that, UCF will have a tough series with Notre Dame. This weekend we have Clemson.

We're sitting at 35-10 right now. 40 wins would be huge trying to get that regional seeding.
We lost to Ohio State, 8-1. Ugh. No other games with the B 10 this year. Bucks lead us in the all time series 29-17. 03-puke
For those worried about Notre Dame in baseball, CMU already beat'em this season. :D
Does Toledo even have a baseball team? 03-banghead
#24UCF took 2 of 3 from #13 Clemson this weekend to improve to 37-11. 04-rock

That's nice but we were talking about MAC baseball teams playing Big Ten baseball teams. Since UCF doesn't play baseball in the MAC and Clemson isn't in the Big Ten, one wonders why you are in this conversation.

One also wonders why you have to be such an @ss.

God forbid I post a baseball score.

Lighten up.
