on the killerfrogs.com board, a USF fan said that ESPN will showcase the "new Big East" teams this year since they are going BCS. I then refuted that by saying Toledo has 4 appearances, and are not going BCS....I said that ESPN wants to show good footabll programs, and that Toledo has a better program than UL, USF, UC.

Of course, the UL fans are trying to tell me that they've been to more bowls than Toledo recently. I believe this is false.

Am I correct in assuming that Toledo has more bowl appearances and top 25 rankings recently vs. Louisville?

(I enjoy sinking BCS ships)
Oddball especially....... :D

I don't believe UT has more recent bowls than UL, but I'd be willing to bet they have more top 25 finishes. But remember, simply having more bowls tied into your conference and thus going to more bowls doesn't mean you're the better program.

I noted that the MAC only had 2 bowl tie ins.

USF and UL fans are quite the pair of asses.

More top 25 appearances and less bowls, I believe.

Only one tie-in until 2001. We sort a hogged all those.
Don't forget about the Las Vegas bowl that Toledo won back in 95' to go undefeated that year! 03-wink
