Iverson is completely useless in international ball. Any good college point guard would serve them better.
Doesn't Larry Brown have to bench Richard Jefferson at this point? He hasn't done anything the entire Olympics, he can't shoot, his defense is subpar, and he isnt moving the ball well. We need to get him and Marbury off the court so we can the younger guys that are playing hard some more time. Our line up needs to be 1- Wade, 2- Iverson, 3- James, 4- Odom, and 5- Duncan.
Down by 4 at the half.
In the back of my mind I'm telling myself that this team will eventually breakthrough and play good basketball. Reality tells me that it's not going to happen.

Wade and Duncan are saving their collective butts right now. Odom got in early foul trouble and did not play much.
Jefferson should not get off the bench except for garbage time the rest of the Games. He's done.
Duncan, Odom, Shawn Marion, Lebron, even Marbury all played great in the last quarter. LJ was very tough. Iverson rode the pines.
Carmelo is not a part of this team anymore. He has checked out, or been checked out by Brown.
At the end of the game he just walked off despite Iverson trying to get him to shake hands w/the Aussies. Don't think he played more than a minute.
The fact that Iverson is the diplomat on this team says it all.
Larry Brown should be smacked simply for naming Iverson captain of anything.
What's up with the Iverson bashing? I know he has had a controversial past, but thus far in the Olympics he has been a team leader and our best player behind Duncan. I can't count how many big shots he has hit for this team in the exhibition and Olympic games, remember his half court shot to beat Germany? What does this guy off have to do before people will get off his back?

Are you nuts? That so-called team leader was even suspended for an exhibition game because of missing a team meeting. He is NOT a team leader. He only cares about himself and whether or not others are making him look good.
