Le Coq Sportif Wrote:Is the "Mazinga" warrior what I would call a "Shogun" warrior?

I had one of those as a child. 2 feet tall. Huuuuge toy for a 7-8 year old. He'd shoot darts out of one hand and, I think, hold a sword in the other. Also had his counterpart, another "shogun" warrior whose entire fist would "shoot" off as a weapon. Had a big ol' time battling out the similarly-sized Godzilla toy with those two.
LOL!!! I had one of those!! I used to use him as GALACTUS (Believe it or not) with my Marvel Mego action figures!! He was just the right proportion to sub in for the ol' planet eater!!
Did a search on Yahoo

thanks! Looking at that page, I can tell you that Mazinga was the one I had!

Go down to the bottom and click on "Major Matt Mason." I had all of his stuff when I was a kid. Back then, the Apollo missions were still in full swing and all of us kids were astronaut crazy! GI Joe and Matt Mason were the action figures to get in the late 60s and early 70s......I remember I had a small replica of the Apollo 11 module, too......I sure miss those moon missions (Sponsored by "TANG! The breakfast drink of astronauts!"). They absolutely entranced me when I was little....Man, that Matt Mason stuff really brings back Christmas memories....
Update on above. "Raydeen" was the one I had. As well as Gohzirra. 03-wink

Raydeen isn't one I am familiar with except maybe a picture on the old box.

I'd wager "raydeen" was the one that Gal had too. She looks pretty familiar to Galactus with that head-dress and all.

The question is, how long did y'all have these before you lost all the projectiles?
I still have 2 of Mazinga's red rockets and one yellow Dumas missle.

Do you still have the figures to go along with 'em? 03-wink
Nope, the new owner is somewhere in South Carolina is a guy who swindled them off my Mom's hands (at a Yard Sale, etc.) when I was young and stupid.

Hey, Rap....Does Spidey and his Amazing Friends still come on ABC Family channel? If so, what time? I'd love to see those again.

Coq.......They did a comic book version of that Hulk vs. Hunchback story you're talking about.......I used to have it and I think Sal Buscema did the art....
You know I just had to watch the one with Thor Gal. All I can say is what a load of crap! C-O-R-N-Y as the day is long. Thor was like a California surfer dude or something! What were they thinking when they made this ?! :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: 03-puke 03-puke 03-puke

Same here dude!
Matt Mason was the man!

Yeah, Naytch.......they should've just left Thor alone. That was awful.
Speaking of "Thor" crossovers (sort of)...

One of my favorite "What If" titles was the "What if Thor met Conan?" They battled a bit (of course), but made friends quickly (of course), and somehow Conan took Thor up to the mountaintop to meet Crom. Can't remember the details on how that happened exactly though, I need to dig that old title up and check it out.
