Quote:Ball State was not only blown out Saturday by intrastate rival Purdue, but the Cardinals starting tailback blew out his knee.

Larry Bostic, who ran for a career-high 76 yards in the 59-7 defeat, injured his right knee on his 19th carry, a 2-yard loss. The unspecified ligament damage will keep the junior out for the season.
:(

I feel your pain. CMU lost a D-lineman who looked to get plenty of time in the two-deep in game one against IU. He's out "indefinitely," which often translates to "for the season." Also, we had a true freshman wide receiver/punt returner who caught his first pass on a screen and took it 33 yards...only to go down with a hamstring problem. That was the biggest play for CMU versus Indiana. He's still questionable. Luckily, we have SEMO on tap and then a bye week before playing Kent.
