These two seemed to be highly touted prior to the start of the season. Anyone know what happened to them?
I believe Davis had a medical problem (hernia), I know he didn't participate in the Spring game. Not sure about McLearn is he listed on the two-deeps?

gonna be hard for mclearn to crack the 2 deeps this season with the vet backers we have, hutton, lee, atkinson, hawkins...
both Davis and McClaren got plenty of reps in during August practices, we just currently have more experienced guys at their positions.

With Atkinson and Hawkins graduating at LB, and at least Ceislek at TE, I think we'll see much more of them next year. I still expect both to have an impact on our program before their career's are through.

The question I have is about Zach Ulrich. Air Force recruited him to run their option, so he must have some decent speed, which he showed in the spring game. However, he is now number 4 (3 with Haldi out) on the depth chart, with Britt Davis and Nicholson redhsirting. Does anyone know if he played safety in High School? Greenbrier mentioned he thought that's where he would end up. That sounds like a good call to me. Who replaces Boogie next year with Francis retiring also? Mark Reiter (#17) from Providence has looked good on special teams, so he could be the guy.

Yes...then i'm 6'9.

I've stood next to him and talked to him once or twice to tell him that wheaton north was garbage 03-wink And i'm 6'1-6'2...And he was at least a good 4 or 5 inches shorter than me.

On a related note in high school on the basketball roster i was 6'4...so i guess what's a few inches here and there.
Rotations at the SIU game:

DT - Holycross, Pittman, Schroeder, Wilson, Holman
DE - Moore, West, Strothman, ??
MLB - Atkinson
OLB - Lee, Hawkins, Hutton

I don't know that anyone else actually saw any time at those positions.
What ever happened to Dan Keller and the other Wisc kids that were supposed to see playing time on the d line? I thought that I saw 98 Oruche in for a few plays at DE against SIU.

You may be right about Oruche.

Not sure about Keller, but they may want to redshirt him. Holycross has stepped in and performed, and we're healthy so far so they might not want Keller to blow this year.
Speaking of Holycross. How did a kid like this not get a schlorship somewhere. At least a Iaa should have picked him up. Maybe he held out for a D I even as a preferred walk on. I would think that he has already earned a schlorship now.
