Wow!
:bluethumb:
Even someone as pessimistic as niu85alum picks NIU to win Friday. That's good news. Welcome back alum. Long time, no see.

Alum, if you predict us to win Friday and still be 6-5, who are our other three losses coming to? Although, we have a lot of room for improvement, besides Miami and Marshall, both of whom we don't play, and Bowling Green and Toledo (if they get their act together), the rest of the MAC is looking very weak.

The games I am not bullish on for NIU are Central Florida, Toledo and Western Michigan.

My prediction for NIU's record for the season remains constant at 6-5.
With big phil the thrill
NIU 24
BGSU 17 (2INT's for TD's account for most of their points)
With josh haldi
NIU 24
BGSU 3
I have faith in our defense this week, they are faster and more aggressive tackling than I have seen the 3 years i've been here. I like the 4 LB rotation keeps guys fresh, and the young DT's may have some trouble but BGSU is more of a passing/run outside team anyways. Either way our D shows up and our QB's have about the same type of game just phil has more TO's.

Puppie's D holds Omarvelous and the rest of our offense to 3 points?
Not a chance!!!!!!
BG - 27
NIU - 24
Nuff said!!

"Omarvelous" -- I like that. Not looking forward to dealing with him for the next three years.

At this moment I don't have good vibes about this matchup. Our pass D is suspect.
Two years ago the magic and energy of the crowd vrs BGSU was truly electric and not duplicated since then- IMO. I truly believe it helped to carry NIU over the top and to victory in that one. Fans may get a bit down on team now especially if Hoprvath stumbles early and the 12th man will be a marginal factor this time around.

Horvathtacular will pull this one out.

If this question has been answered earlier, I apologize, however do you folks know for sure who will be starting at QB? All things being equal, Haldi IS the man, however with his injury and just how bad it is, maybe Horvath would be the better choice? Just curious.
Best of luck to both teams. Hope it's a close exciting game. Should be!!

I can positively say that Haldi might start. And, if he starts, he might stay in the game and finish it.

Im sticking with my victory formula:
one interception or less, NIU wins
two or more interceptions, NIU loses
but...
If Haldi plays the entire game NIU wins.
SEA OF RED. IM FIRED UP
GO HUSKIES

This game is going to come down to the final minute. I can see lots of points and a few TO's for both teams. Dare I say it...a last play field goal for the Kid?

BUGS 33
Sheldon runs a punt back for a TD. Nendick kicks a field goal with 1:37 in the 4th forcing BUGS to score a touchdown to win. 'Omarvelous' makes the Huskie faithful have a few heart attacks as he scrambles on 4th down, but comes up short with 26 seconds left. Our QB (whom ever that is) takes a knee to seal the victory.
Oh, and...Lee Corso is still an idiot.

****This is contingent on Horvath NOT trowing anymore than 3 fluttering spirals directly to a Falcon or flock of Falcons****
Anything over 3 INT's--tack on 7 more for BG.
Nonetheless, GO Phil!
