A couple of questions:

By the time I got a chance to buy a game program at the game Saturday night there were none in sight. Did anyone notice whether or not the Grabke's received any recognition for their work on the rocket in the program itself?

Likewise, was there any recognition announced over the PA system? I got into the stadium right at kickoff so I wasn't able to see/hear any of the pregame activities.

If so, great.

If not, shame on the Athletic Department.

Before I go off on a tirade and have to eat crow, I'd like to know if the Grabke's received any recognition.

Glad to see the article about the rocket in yesterday's Blade by Matt Markey.
I would hope that they received some sort of recognition...they should get a free plug every game for the work that they did. I'm with you RR...shame on the Athletic Dept. if they dropped the ball on this one.
There was a plane flying an advertisement banner for Grabke's automotive before the game. Im not sure if the Grabkes paid for it, or if the University paid for it.
I looked through the program during the game and they had a blurb about the rocket and a picture of the old white one but nothing noted in the actual program about the paint job. I'm not sure if it was b/c it just got put up last week so they didn't have time before press to get a new pic or what but I didn't see anything giving credit where credit is due.

-if the Grabkes are paying for the plane maybe someone should find out how much they shell out each game and offer to handle one or more of the upcoming games.... just another way to repay them for their service!
The Grabke's have done the airplane advertising for several years.

The article is <a href='http://web00.utad.utoledo.edu/news/artman/publish/article_1627.shtml' target='_blank'>here</a>

I'm pretty familiar with UTs sites, and it took me almost 10 minutes to find this. If you go to the athletic site, there's no mention of it.
