I have never been a big Stan Hill fan. He Stinks 04-drinky
Swing pass thrown behind Charles, Stan is really showing that he has no business being the Herds QB.
4th and 3, Stan throws it to the Kent State Defender, Thank God He drops it.

Get his @ss out of the game :chair:
4th and 1/2 yard. Stan throws the ball to hard, behind Josh Davis.

What is up with the Cordinator, 1/2 a yard. Sneak the Damn ball. Stan is stinking up the place.

Bernard, Stay out of trouble and you would be playing right now.

Please stay out of my thread, thank you. 03-banghead

Yea, what ever. Once Stan lost the ability to run, he has been a 3rd tier QB at best.

Graham is not much better.

Take off the green colored glasses

Stan stinks, Graham is not much better.

After watching Toledo today, and the way or D played against Kent.

We are winning beacuse of the quality of our players overall, certainly not beacuse of our sub par QB's
Take off your dunce hat. Morris wouldn't be in there whether he got in trouble last week or not.
True,

But you have to admit, Stan couldn't carry Todd Donan's jock.
Would you guys like us to loan you one of our backup QB's?
No :)

Nice fumbled snap to end the 3rd quarter.

Suit yourself. Our backup QB, Marquis Council has a stronger arm than Gradkowski does, IMO.
IMO there are a few reasons for the poor offensive play this year. I saw what Stan can do on the field when he beat miami in 2002 and we won the East Division. He put up good numbers last year...but he only played in 6 games. Not exactly what you'd call a "seasoned vet" coming into this year.
Stan is coming off major knee surgery and he has battled numerous injuries this season. He is playing behind a line that has given up too many sacks and he has taken a beating. He looks gun shy and I probably would too if I got my bones rattled every down.
To the lines credit...they are nowhere near where they need to be, but they have made tremendous strides since week #1,

Josh Davis is a stud, but he is playing a new position this year and Darius Watts is no longer lined up across from him. Emanuel Spann is a true freshman. He is good, but he is no Darius Watts (yet). Brad Bates has stepped it up this year but we still have way too many dropped passes...including a bunch today. You've GOT to hang onto the ball!! Thought we'd have good production from Lauzon, Moore, Smith and Guillory but no one has stepped up to take charge.

If/when this offense starts to roll this year we will be hard to beat. Our defense is outstanding and our special teams are superb. I have great confidence in the coaching staff.

We are 2-0...soon to be 3-0 in the MAC. miami and Hoeppner have to live with the fact that we are soon to be the MAC East winners once again. Life is good.
Excuses, excuses, excuses.

Stan just missed another receiver on 3rd down.

I love the Herd as much as anyone. Donating time as well as money to the cause.

Stan Hill should be playing QB for a flag team down in the coal fields.
Hopefully you have eligibility and we can see you lead this team to the Promised land.
No, fans like you will rationalize crappy QB play, and take what ever it gets us.
There is no loyalty owed to a guy who got a free education, embarrassed the University twice in one year, and simply can't find that part of him that used to be able to play. Perhaps a few less nights of partying and a few more watching game film and working out would have been the difference this year.

I have nothing against Hill, but Goke looked much better today and he is not that good over the long haul.

Hill can't run, has overthrown or turfed more passes than were just dropped by receivers, doesn't motivate his offense, and is still not 100%. There is nothing wrong with benching a player. It is what a coach is supposed to do. Goke played better than to only get in for 2 series. He showed to be no worse than Hill and probably much better and he is the one who seems dedicated off the field.

And I can't believe I'm defending Goke after last year. Thank God we found a defense.
Amen,

I knew there had to be more realistic Herd fans out there 04-bow

Hill's been down hill since the Vols game lasr year.

Graham is nothing to write home about.

If not for the D. We would be 500 at best this year.
For what it's worth, Woody just said on the radio a moment ago that the reason Goke didn't get back into the game in the second half was because he hurt his shoulder. That's unfortunate, because he actually looked pretty good for the most part, and I found myself wanting to see how he would hold up to a bit more playing time.
