Huskies picked 2nd to last with the Chippewahs bringing up the rear. I guess Toledo is the clear favorite, making Nov 9th even more important to make sure they dont take conference championships in both sports!

But the way things have been going, it might be a blessing to be picked near the bottom based on how well the media has done the past few years with this preseason poll.

Trust me, we will come in a lot higher than second to last. I think we will turn some heads this year. We won't be great, but I really think we'll be a lot better than last year. I think these kids have something to prove and will be working hard. And remember...you heard it here first!
It would suck to be a reporter at the sun times or something and the editor comes in and goes "steve, your covering the NIU Bball media day. you get to make a 60 mile drive out to corn country and talk to some players that should be playing division 2. good luck" i can see some proficient head banging on desk from that reporter.
After this year will James Hughes become an adequate force inside?
If NIU can develop an inside game to compliment the outside shooting, this could be fun.
