At the risk of being flamed for stating the obvious:
1. If Novak desires to stay at NIU, publicly squash any Illini rumors. And do it now.
In the near future, we'll all see how chaos and instability will hurt recruiting for the Illini.
Can NIU steal a player or two they wouldn't normally get?
2. Keep Sabock at NIU if Ohio State comes a calling to offer an asst position.
3. The Badgers are hot and I hope their recruiting focus becomes even more national. The same could be said to a lesser extent in Minnesota. Strike while the iron is hot... time to do serious recruiting damage in WI!
Just win at Ball State. Pack the house for Toledo with a frenzied crowd. Bring in the recruits.
And beat the Rockets!

I agree 100%. I have not heard the Joe to the ILL rumor anywhere!
Edgy Tim told me that a lot of the high school players in Illinois aren't hearing from U of I this year like they normally do. It seems as though the coaches have taken a bunker mentality and are spending so much time trying to win games (save their jobs) that recruiting might be suffering. If they end up firing their coach, I hope that we can sweep in and grab a few players that we normally wouldn't get.
I'd also like joe to squash the rumor that he is from another planet, which i just started. But i feel it is necessary.
Anyone else think that turner may survive this year and is trying to recruit nationally because clearly he isn't doing a great job with IL players.

You know, Willy, I also had heard that rumor. I'd really like to see him come out with a birth certificate or something, before this rumor really gets legs and gets out of hand. You just can't let this kind of thing fester.
