I thought traveled pretty good to see the game this past weekend. I would guess there were 1500-2000 fans scattered around in the East stands. Probably 3 to 4 times the amount most MAC teams bring to town. Kudos to the Bulls fans 04-rock
WHAT!!!! 1500-2000 people barely show up at UB sometimes lol...Not really...but thats alot more then i ever wouldve expected.
I saw about 50 tops...which was great. That's about 30-40 more than closer schools bring.
Well mxman was only 1450-1950 off. You sure you two were at the same game?? I mean there is a big difference between "50 tops" and "1500-2000". Or should I of said a big difference between reality and bulls--t? No pun intended Buffalo. 03-wink
I suppose I could be wrong. I counted the people in the visitors section who were donned in blue. The others in that section were wearing green. I counted 50 visitors. It's possible the others went to the concession stand at the same time....or maybe on the same bathroom schedule, but I doubt it. 03-wink

50 is about right, I counted 35 buf fans 10 minutes before the game started.
Just wondering who the obnoxious Marshall idiot is who wouldn't shut up! Get a life! He started before the game and never let up. The sad thing was his little boy picked it up and was right there along daddy. Very sad! This poor little kid is going to turn right into his redheaded idiotic father. At the end of the game even some of the Marshall fans came over to apoligize for this idiot. Other than him I truly enjoyed a fun weekend. (except of course the game) This guy was in section 103.

That happend to my friends and me at Ohio a couple weeks ago. We were fortunate enough to get a good deal on tickets, a friend of a friend, and we were the only MU fans in the Ohio section we were in. A man taught his son to yell pretty horrible things about Marshall...it happens everywhere.

But I'm glad you can to Huntington.
LOL. I went over and sat next to your assailer for a few minutes, but I did not harass anyone. I heard him though. You can find him on the HerdNation.com board as a moderator by the name of HerdFtblfan if you want to say hi.

PS were you the guy sittin right in front of him with the blond? If so I thought you showed incredible good humor and gave as good as you got. I was only there for part of the 2nd quarter though. I just came down to say hi to them.

God love the Bulls fans.

There were about 50 in total at the game, maybe a hundred. I think the discrepency may have bee that the forecasted rain sent people to the stands with the blue ponchos on. I saw a lot of that scattered throughout the stands. Blue ponchos puzzle me, though, as a staple color of ponchos is olive drab and that is close enough to green to make the obvious choice as a Herd fan.
With all the talk about weather & attendence, it's ironic that it was sunny and in the low 60s in Buffalo the day of the Marshall game. It would have been a beautiful afternoon for football (that is until UB stepped out onto the field). :crying: That just one week after the rain, wind, hail and cold the week before for the Miami game.

Congrats to Marshall. Not many schools draw 30,000 for UB. Marshall just dominated the game- its home record against the MAC is amazing. 04-bow
From my view in section 113, there appeared to be no fewer than half a dozen and no more than a whole dozen UB fans.

FWIW, I was impressed with the WR #85. I can't pronounce or spell his name so I won't try. He was big and fast and good. He deserves a better team.

Well it IS huntin' season
That obnoxious fan would be me. I apologize if you couldn't see the humor in my sarcasm. Apparently I served my purpose, though, as a.) you heard me and b.) apparently your kicker did to.

I yell the entire game. I do not use any profanity. I don't single anyone out. I don't say anything inappropriate or foul and I don't allow anyone around me to do the same. On third downs I encourage our fans to get up and cheer. If my son gets too excited and says anything nasty, he is scolded and told that we don't talk that way. I even chastised a Marshall fan during the Miami (attendance 8012) game for throwing paper and cussing. It's loud and sarcastic but clean.

If the Buffalo fans feel like a chant of "Buffalo Soccer" or my yelling at the kicker saying "Hey #8, don't shank the punt." is offensive then that answers my question as to why they have about 48 total fans. The Miami (attendance 8012) fans really enjoyed it and even spoke to us after. Apparently the Buffalo fans didn't find us as funny.

The Buffalo soccer team really thought it was funny and they enjoyed the good natured ribbing.

It's football, get over it. I can see some of our fans coming up and complaining because they probably didn't appreciate my telling them to get up and yell. We have some sorry fans just like everybody else does.

That said, if anyone doesn't like it, sorry but it "ain't" changing.
I come to the game to cheer, have fun, support the team and make noise. Some other fans should actually try it.

Next time you visit, perhaps I'll run down and give you a warm fuzzy while I tell you just how wonderful the mighty Buffalo Bulls are playing...

Can you provide an example of what might be considered border line behavior or words that you use?
I sit with Herdftblfan at the games and can tell you he says nothing even close to borderline. If anyone sitting around us curses the other team's fans, he immediately steps in and tells them to knock it off. The worst thing he yelled during the game was that he was disappointed with the amount of fans they brought, then yelled at their punter to not shank the punt (which he had it blocked on that same kick :chair: ). I'm sorry for the Buffalo fan that complained, it must be horrible being one of only five people cheering for your team.
Herdftblfan is pretty much incapable of anythig that is not good-natured as has been my experience. He never meant any harm. Some fans enjoy the back and forth banter. He was crackin me up, though.
You guys are gonna make me cry.

knight_01, if you make it to the game this weekend, introduce yourself. You won't have any trouble finding me. :-)

I promise I'll be nice.
