Next time you're in Chicago could you stop by Wrigley?
We have this goat skirt issue that could use your attention.

"Goat skirt issue," wtf? I wasn't aware that Don Baylor was a cross-dresser? I certainly ain't happy that the chowderheads won, but then again, once every 86 years (like WORSTern in Mt. Pleasant), what the hell. Course, playin Tony LaLoser and the St. Losers ain't sayin' much, either. At least Buckner won't get laughed at (as hard).
"Goat skirt issue," am I missin' somethin' here?

Nevermind, I meant goat curse.

Anyway, any help with this bucking goat that's
kept the Cubs out of the puckin World Series since
19effin45? Can't blame the GD critter that the Cubs
haven't tucking won since 19effin08.
I'm in Chicago a lot (daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter) used to live within a mile of Wrigley. Now, they live in Rogers Park, but granddaughter still wears her Cubbie hat that we gave her at age one. Cubbies owners phucked-up badly, hiring Baylor, IMHO. Guy just doesn't have good instincts. And pitching? Chrissakes, you might as well put a T-baller on the mound! They must have picked up Randy Smith (former GM) from the Tigers, to screw up this badly. I liken it to the Ford family owning the Lions. F.O.R.D. = (F)ucked-(O)ver-®ebuilt-(D)odge! The Lions will never win with the dysfuctional family owning this franchise, period. Your Only As Good As What You Spend! If the fools keep payin' to see mediocrity, that's exactly what you're gonna get. :D
God another one who blames the Cubs
woes on the facts that they can't play baseball
and are stupid.

I much prefer the curse.

BTW I grew up in East Rogers Park/Edgewater

Hey, I don't blame the Cubs, I like the Cubs. Dump Baylor, and their turn is next (for the Series). I blame ownership and management.

Does this mean that you won't do anything about the goat?

Only the "real" ones, Sarasota. You can come in outta the sun, now. :D (and leave the Seagrams by the pool, I might want a drink later) 03-lol
"Baylor"...they already dumped him and they'd be better off with him instead of that clown Dusty Baker (it even sounds like a clown name).

Leave the goat, Leon Durham and Bartman alone.

You're right, my bad. "Dusty," "Don," they all sound the same to me (not an ethnic slur). Obviously, I haven't been following the Cubs since Tapani (CMU), retired.

Oh, sh!t. A Sox fan worshipping the triumvurate! You left out the black cat from 1969.
Actually, "Dusty Baker," sounds more like a gay cook for a cowboy roundup. :D

Actually, it's a little nippy for the pool.
Only the low 80s. Brrrrr!

Okay, try as you may, you'll never be able to convince FEMA that Sarasota was like that when you got there. :D (P.S., it's 62 here in Madison, today, so enough of the @sswipe lectures about being "cold." :D Besides, you ain't one of those Cicada Phuckers, having lived in Chicago. :D
I'll take being an F.I.B. over being a 'Sconsi dairy-maid, any day 'o the week, CE!

(And regards to the Cubs, yep, Dusty Baker was positively horrible this year as manager... with Sosa and Alou and Mercker out the door, however, he'll have an easier clubhouse to deal with next season. GM Jim Hendry will also take a little more control of the roster this year, too, so we probably won't have that abyss of a bench -- if Paul "F---ing Career .190 hitter" Bako and Tom "Damn Near Worthless" Goodwin are on the roster again next year, I'm going to scream -- And hopefully, he'll have Carlos Beltran to rely on, too!)

Luckily we don't have much dealing with FEMA in Sarasota. Go
about 40 miles in any direction and it's a different story.

You're right. I'm a Chicagoan through and through who just
happens to live in Florida - thank God not in Orlando.

I just got sick of the winters. Talk to you in January. :D

"Being a F.I.B.," you are a F.I.B (and that "I" stands for Indiana, too!) :D Personally, Papa Lou, I'm lactouse intolerant, unless, of course, she's haulin' tractor-size-breast-feeders! :D Check out some of the Badger-thong-wearin'-cheerleaders. Yum, yum.
Speaking of the Cubs, looks like Steve Stone (Kent State grad), pulled a Barry Sanders with Cub ownership/management. Steve, like Barry, it was the right thing to do. Don't waste your talent on a franchise that refuses to change its ways. 03-banghead
As a Cub fan, I was incredibly disappointed by that news (and Kent Mercker better not ever show his face in Chicago again for starting all this crap), but Stoney is the best color man in all of baseball, hands down. Hopefully, he'll get some national gig and the rest of the country will get the joy of hearing him call a game, a joy millions of Cub fans have known for 20 years now...

Seriously, the second you hear Stone's analysis on a telecast, you'll wonder how in the hell Tim McCarver is allowed anywhere near the microphone. (Heck, you may wonder that anyways...)
Tim McCarver = mute button in my house. :D He's the ideal corporate "yes-man/lapdog."
