Anybody hear how we seem to be doing? Illinois has several committs already as does Northwestern.
Just spoke to Edgy Tim. He says the word from dekalb is that we have 4 verbals so far, but still no names. Edgy thinks the kid we have from Minnesota is the linebacker, Zach Larsen. He also thinks one of the verbals might be Otis Hudson, a 6'5", 287 guard from Barrington.

Well damnit....Didn't that doofus named dogpound used to have "the inside scoop" on this sort of thing. Sure he was way off basically all the time, but i at least liked to read something about this.
What do people think our needs are?

I think a big need is at WR. After next year, we lose Hurd and Powers. We need some playmakers at that position.

How bout cornerback. A team can't go forever without recruiting someone back there who can really cover and next year we will be a little thin back there. At wr I kind of like Adonnis, matthews, perez, and simon. I say that based off their speed numbers and nothing based on how they have played on the field except perez.

I have heard from a friend that we do have a verbal from someone in florida, that's about all i got.

Good thing that narrows it down 03-razz

Well your friend is really laying it all on the line, I mean it's not like we have had a couple florida recruits the past 2 years or anything.

Zach Larson is a 3 star LB, clearly he doesn't want to make public he is going to NIU and lose a star like britt davis, and cas prime have in recent years.
I think corner is a huge need. Honestly, I don't know how Hansbro and Lee have not been exposed more.
Hey I know dogpound and he was very accurate. I think the football office is just keeping it very quiet.
I think linebacker is the most important position with this defense. Give me another Duffy!
Is Tim McCarthy who we signed last year our next Duffy?
I agree with Huskie39, how have defenses not just been going up and over on Hansbro, although to be honest he has surprised me since last year, and to think I was really really worried about Lee being our only returning CB thta had significant PT, he has really taken his game up a notch, even getting in on the rush D from time to time
I think with our great safety play, we have been able to hide our corners a little. Or maybe I am completely wrong and they are just playing well.

It helps to have a pretty good pass rush and the fastest linebackers in the MAC, though.
True enough, plus Ray-Ray has been playing out his ******

I'm not sure if you watched the team last year but lee and hansbro had about the same PT, they alternated starts and series. So to summarize, both our cb's had playing time last year.
That was more towards the second half of the season after rob lee was getting blown up on, if you could check how many reps both those guys took Lee still had plenty more i believe

Well that doesn't mean hansbro didn't have PT, he had a good amount of PT.
did you see the words 'significant' playing time, I meant hansbro didnt really play as much against our top opponents early in the year, i was at BG last year and only remember seenig him get bombs dropped over him, but that is beside the point, seriously Willy read the f*cking post before you criticize i am getting tired of even responding to you. Significant PT is different than just saying he got playing time. I stand by that Lee was the only returning truly experienced CB

Umm this is your post. So i think the word significant is there, and i'm pretty sure hansbro had that 'significant' amount of PT.

Then you are an idiot, because hansbro had a ton of PT, i would venture to say barely less than lee. So how Lee's PT is just above the threshold is beyond me, why don't you just stick to posts where u make stuff up, like novak not liking AJ?
