Stan Hill looks like the kind of precision passer that could give the Huskies fits. I would love to see a NIU Marshall MAC championship game though. Wouldnt it be fitting if Coach Novak beat Toledo and Marshall to end the year, the two teams he has yet to beat.MaddDawgz02 Wrote:Zips go up 7-0!Great job. Way to jinx the Zips. 28-7 Marshal. Stick a fork in Akron.
If NIU beats Toledo, I hope BG beats Marshall. I do not want any other MAC team to go undefeated. If NIU and Marshall run the table, I think the GMAC will take Marshall. I believe the GMAC would be preferable to the MCB, since facing Louisville or Southern Miss would be more impressive than #7 in the Big Ten.

UNBELIEVABLE, ZIPS TIE IT!

2 dropped TD passes, 1 fumbled TD run, and 3 missed FGs for Marshall. They should be up at least 21. What a long bus ride back to Huntington if they lose in OT. Glad I kept watching.

This is the most amazing game I've ever seen, Marshall is choking big time!

Unbelievable finish! Marshall don't let the door hit you on the ****** on your way to Conf-USA

And now Terry Hoepner is BG's biggest fan...

Unbelieveable finish! 17 points in the last 3 minutes. What a comeback by the Zips. Way to go Herd!

I guess you can take that fork out of Akron. Don't I feel silly! :tomato:

We have a game to win on Tuesday before even we are in anything.
First things first.

Beat a Big Ten team, no matter how bad, and you get some respect. Look at how a lot of people point to us beating Iowa St. last year. Iowa St. was 2-10 last year, with one of the wins coming against a I-AA team, yet people say, "you beat Iowa St., Bama, and Maryland last year." They don't say anything though about us beating, for example, Western Michigan, who was a better team than ISU last year.

Plus the MCB is closer to the major bowls, and the closer the better IMO.

Detroit is not the most desirable December destination, but I tend to think that the MCB is the more desirable MAC bowl because it really has the full backing of the MAC and gets a lot of support from MAC fans in the area. But I'll be happy with whichever won we get, assuming we beat UT.
