As we reach the final weeks of the regular season, a better than expected national exposure might be developing for the MAC.
Tonight we have the Toledo-NIU game on ESPN in front of what should be a rabid, sell out crowd that has significant consequences for the West Division crown.
Next Saturday we have an ESPN game between Marshall and BG with an expected large crowd that also has significant consequences.
Then, if Akron and Miami take care of business this Saturday, what could be a major game between Akron and Miami in a couple of weeks. If it turns out that this game would affect the East Division championship, it should be on TV. In that case, the big winner whether they win the game or lose would be Akron. A good crowd plus playing for the championship would be a huge boost for their program.
