Firstly, I heard this second hand. Is it true that Growling Been's opponents are a combined 14-49 this season?

A whopping 22% winning percentage!

I'm looking forward to see the Herd bring their "D" to BG, oh, and we can score too. 04-rock
That might be close, but probably not true. NIU has 7 wins themselves and Oklahoma has 8 or 9 wins I think. Maybe that record is of teams they beat. They teams with the better records, NIU and Oklahoma, beat them so maybe they aren't included in that combined record.
32-49.

Immaterial difference.
That is true RF. If you include the teams we have not beaten, OU and NIU, our combined opponents record is 33-52, or 39%, which a little better. But we haven't played the tough part of our schedule yet, outside of NIU, so I think it is a bit skewed.
If you count UT's and Marshall records in there, our opponents record is 45-59, or 43%.
Competing factoid: Herd's last road win over a team with a winning record? _________________ .

I'll let y'all answer that one.
Looks like BG has played a lot of mediocre to poor teams.

We'll see what happens Saturday. 04-rock

#6 Kansas State :)

If Marshall's offense plays like it did Friday without the 4th quarter breakdown this will be a great game :)

But #6 Kansas State was a much better team than the 2004 installment of Bowling Green. :D

I guess December 4, 2003 seems just like yesterday to you Miami people.

I would think that September 29, 2004 would have been enough to at least cause pause before your lame attempt at smack.

With road losses to Michigan,Cincy and yes the Herd this year you have no room to talk :D
What smack, you morons?

If you want to trash BG's track record this season, it's at least worth considering your own, which, a good win over Miami aside, is demonstrably inferior.

But thanks for the telling attempt to bring this back to Miami. But, wait, I forgot, WE'RE the ones "obsessed" with YOU. It must be true 'cause all of the mindless dopes at the Sheltered Workshop keep saying it in the same repetitive motion. [Image: handjob.gif]

Please feel free to recall September 29, 2004 all you want. My hunch is that, after Saturday, that's all you're going to have to keep you warm this winter.

Best personal regards,
DG
if the number for BG is the records of the teams that the Falcons have beaten, we may want to point out that Marshall's comparable record is 14-32.

30%!

And yes, six of those wins are from Miami. So besides Miami, marshall's victims for 2004 have won an average of 2 games each so far this year.
So to follow the logic of this thread...if Oklahoma, USC and Auburn played BG's schedule and were still undefeated they would suck?

This is pointless. BG destroyed all these inferior teams with only playing starters one half of football for the most part.
