Is the east officially down to Akron/ Miami? I'm sure this has already been discussed at length, but I couldn't find the thread.

As has been mentioned in other threads, yes, the East comes down to Miami-Akron winner. The winner will have 1 conference loss, while the loser & Marshall will have 2 losses. So Marshall is already eliminated from the race.
