Just wanted to stop by and say congrats to BG. BG has a great team and excellent offense.
Also, wanted to wish all MAC'sters the best. Marshall has helped raise the bar in this league and the league has helped Marshall as well.

I have seen Miami, BG and Toledo really raise the bar of thier programs and look to be solid in the future. The UT and BG game next week should be a doosy.

I am not sure what has happened to the Herd the last two years but its not pretty, I have some ideas but thats another story. We have gone from playing for Championships to playing for a winning season. Things can turn sour quickly.
Best of luck in the future. I am sure all MAC fans are glad Marshall is now out of the MACC picture, in a way, guess I can't blame you.
Classy post, best of luck in conference usa 04-bow
I agree, classy post. A few of us went to the BG/MU game today and we talked to many nice Marshall fans and got yelled at by quite a few BG fans. Good luck in CUSA and I hope we can still schedule you guys some time.

Thanks for the compliment SVherd. Now only if some of your Herd football players acted classy after the hit on McGrady. Heard from a couple of band members that some of the players on the sideline were laughing about the hit, while Corn laid on the ground motionless and knocked out. From the replays it looked like a spear to the head, but thankfully he's alright. I'm just glad we won the game, otherwise that hit would've left a bad taste in my mouth!

Perhaps for some certain aforementioned unclassy behavior? Hmmmm.

Man, you sure know how to assume things. Typical.

We were walking to our car and some other typical BG fans like you were leaning out of their car to harass us. We were doing nothing but walking.

Hey you don't know me. I didn't harrass anyone, nor would I, especially after a loss for the opposing team. They were probably feeling crappy enough themselves after a loss, least I can do is leave them alone. Every team has its morons, and I'm not one of them, at least when it comes to taunting opposing fans after their loss. And I'm talking about the behavior of the MU fans during the injury and after the game. Not assuming anything, witnessed the unclassiness myself.

I saw and heard that. The stadium was deathly silent -- except for a couple of Marshall players who were over on their own by the stands. It looked to me like they were mixing it up with the students who were lined up in the first row or the band. I distinctly saw some finger pointing, some giggling and heard the word "cheerleaders" -- I assume it was some kind of ugly joke. Perhaps the students "started" it, but it seemed to me those particular players lacked class.

To their credit, the vast majority of the Herd players were lined up along the sideline, quietly looking on as people attended to Corn McGrady.

The hit on Corn was very high, but it didn't strike me as a cheap shot. The play suddenly shifted direction, and Corn never saw the block coming. From what I understand, he was able to move his extremities, but they were extra careful just to make sure of things.
At several points while they were evaluating him and as they were loading him into the ambulance, McGrady moved his legs, arms, head, and hands. Looked to me (on tv) like he got knocked cold (and that didn't surprise me a bit...he got smoked), and the evaluation time looked like a concussion...which I hear now is the case. I hope for a full, and rapid, recovery for the young man.
