So the bowl bids should start coming soon, maybe even after tomorrow nights UT/BG game. How many bids will the MAC get and who will get them?

My guess is this:

Miami (GMAC)
Toledo (MCB)
Northern Illinois (whatever the Humanitarian Bowl was renamed)
Bowling Green (Silicon Valley Classic)

Either Akron or Marshall could still get a 5th bowl bid, but I have a feeling the MAC will be left out after the top 4 teams.
Rocketfootball....the 4 ESPN pundits all seem to think that the GMAC wants BG.......I have no way of knowing of course. It may be very interesting to see where the MAC teams end up. My guess is that if UT beats BG, they'll be pressure to take the Rockets in Detroit (best draw), so then it's anyone's guess if the GMAC takes us (Miami) again, or goes for BG or even NIU. I wouldn't be shocked to see us go out west, either. Makes it kind of fun, doesn't it?

P.S. As for a 5th bowl, I'd say it's 50/50 and I don't see a 6th realistically happening.
I've been told that the GMAC may make NIU a bid right away if UT beats BG. Take it for what it's worth.
The hot rumor (Yes, I said Rumor) in Huntington is Marshall's getting help from CUSA. Supposedly, CUSA would like to have Marshall against either TCU or UC. That way not all of the publicity is about the team who is leaving CUSA.
