Ford Field........5 MAC bids already in the bag (my guess).
Should be a beatdown of the RedHawks on Natl TV.

Toledo has put together a grand total of two complete games this season. Granted, they have been in a row and against ranked opponents, and they look very tough when they play a complete game, however they have had some rough games, and even rough patches in the last two games.

That said, I feel really good about Toledo's chances in this game.

OTOH, Betts looked like he made a kind of breakthrough during the Akron game. IMO he outplayed Charlie Frye. His delivery and throwing motion were almost picture perfect, and he delivered the ball more accurately and with more zip than did Frye. Their new RB (Murphy?) is the real deal, and scares me. They haven't had a good RB since Travis Prentis, but that kid is going to be a serious weapon for them in years to come. He has the ability to break games open.

While everyone may be right, and Toledo could put this one away easily, I don't think so. While the Rockets are easily the most improved team in the MAC from early in the season, Miami has gone through their share of growing pains, as well, and is playing good football right now. This one could be closer than anticipated. These two teams always play each other tough, and Miami has had Toledo's number, one way or another, in every recent meeting since 1997.

GO ROCKETS!!!
Trying to be unbiased, I like Toledo ins this game. UT is playing its best football of the year, and the young defense continues to improve. UT should also have a sizeable crowd advantage.
Miami fans awfully quiet. Could they sense the woodshed beating they are about to endure???

Dear Woofing Gods,

He's not one of us.

Thanks,

Toledo should have more fans at the game and thier only conference loss to avenge. I have Toledo by 3 scores.

You mean three field goals, right? Because if you're calling for a three TD victory, I'd like to know in what part of Athens, OH you've been spending time.

Really, I think we have an excellent chance in this game if our offensive line is back at 100%. On the defensive side, Sills is out, but Marcus Johnson will play. That makes me feel a lot better. I expect a tight game, and I think it's a toss up. I don't know how Toledo could be a heavy favorite in this game. They haven't done anything to impress me more than Miami has.

Marshall fans just automatically think that Toledo can beat Miami because Toledo regularly beats them. They can't fathom the thought than anyone who beats them could be beaten.

Is everyone forgetting that Toledo lost to us? 04-drinky

My guess is that it is one of the few things on the Toledo player's minds.
Hmmm.....IF UT plays like they did in the 2nd half against BG, I like UT. Miami has been solid since the loss to the Herd.

I like a close game....either side can win it.

Should be a great rematch.

I have been fooled to many times to pick against Toledo,

Rockets win.

The difference is that Miami has a D, unlike BG.

I think this will be a close one. I like Toledo and revenge, but only a blow out would surprise me.
East Division!

WE MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE!

That being said, I think Betts can keep Miami in a tight one and give them a chance to win. UT needs to put together a whole game like the 2nd half vs. BG.

My pick:

MU-bled-28
Blew T-24
Both Miami and Toledo are near the top of the conference in every offensive category. However, Miami is near the top of the conference in every defensive category, too, and Toledo is not.

Miami is near the bottom for turnover margin.

I'd say if we hang on to the ball, we win.

Yeah, but we played BG and NIU (2 of the top offenses) which you played Marshall and UCF. 03-lol
Bump!! I will say this.......The MAC East has OWNED the MACC since its inception in '97. That is a fact. 6-1.

Toledo will have to overcome a helluvalota history to pull it out!!

MACEast is the Beast.

Go HERD, goin' bowling!! Don't mess with Texas, but we are going to take Cindy out behind the 'shed!!

One problem with that, the only time an East team won a MACC Game away from their home field was Miami last year. No doubt that was a great Miami team and they would have won if the game was played in Japan.

Toledo beats Miami Thursday night! 03-wink

We turned the ball over four times to you on the road and only lost by 7 points, however your team did beat Toledo and I still give you credit for that, and for the Steelers revamped energy from the BIG BEN 04-bow
hey matt--you goin to detroit thurs?
yes. I am taking the alum bus up, hope to meet some people that will be looking to hire in about a year or so. You going?
