I think it's better for us. If we ended up one team short they might allow a 6-6 or all 6-6 teams to go bowling which would kick us out of contention and take Northwestern and Hawaii instead. This is definately for the better.
I heard yesterday the students of ND issued a press release demanding "a return to glory" for the football program. They were supposed to hold a student assembly last night.
NIU students shhould do something similar stating their case for the Huskies bowl chances. I just am really confused and frustrated right now. After drawing 27,000 fans a game, and fans travelling wiht the team so well, what else does NIU have to do to get a bowl. I hope Bowling Green gets shelled by Memphis and the GMAC has an embarassing game.

Beat Toledo. Don't give up hope yet. There are still plenty of spots available. If NIU does not go bowling this year, it will be a bigger sham than last year, especially with Marshall and BGSU going.
