The 2004-5 Zips are a vastly different group than the the classic underachieving, slo-motion offense, Hipsher's kid-centric teams of the past 9 years.
Full court press for 40 minutes. They rotate 10-12 players. 3-pointers a-plenty.
While Hipsher chose to yank players who didn't take "his" shot...Dambrot allows them to take the open shot when it's there. Kids are no longer looking over at the scores table the entire game, expecting to get pulled. Black Hole Derrick Tarver is gone. The kids are having fun. A breath of fresh air in the stagnant JAR.
Duquesne is A-10, but they're 1-5 and seem to be reeling. Zips should win.
Looking forward to seeing how this style of play works vs. Kent and Miami. And, the game vs. Buffalo should be a 110-109 affair!
