Will they wait until after this weekend, or will they pick tomorrow? Also, is NIU a "shoo in" for the slot, or is the Indy Bowl considering Miami? I have also seen speculation that NIU may still be slated for the Vegas Bowl.....any Huskie fans want to tell us what they're hearing??

If Cal stays ahead of Texas in the BCS poll with a victory over Southern Mississippi: NIU will play Oklahoma State in the Independence Bowl
If Texas moves ahead of Cal in the BCS: All the other Big 12 teams slide up in the bowl selection tie-ins and Iowa State goes to Independence Bowl. Since bowls typically don't like rematches, Miami would go to the Independence Bowl.
Independence Bowl wants NIU (NIU AD Jim Phillips did the presentation to the Independence Bowl) but only if Iowa State is not there.
