<span style='font-family:Times'><span style='font-size:12pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:gray'>I love the bowl season. But I love being right about who wins in the bowls even more.

Remember the "Vegas Bullish on the MAC" thread?

Here's a link:

<a href='http://www.ncaabbs.com/forums/mac/invision/index.php?act=ST&f=1&t=17009' target='_blank'>http://www.ncaabbs.com/forums/mac/invision...=ST&f=1&t=17009</a>

But let me refresh your memory on something I said:

<span style='color:blue'>"As for Memphis State, they aren't all what they are cracked up to be. Believe you me, we have to live in the same state as them. They may have something nice on offense, but their defense absolutely sucks. I think BG can win with a solid offense. I don't know anything about your defense. If BG plays good D, ya'll should win. Heck, Arkansas State nearly beat the kitties this season and hung over 30 on them."</span>

I bet 99Tiger feels pretty stupid about calling me out on that comment I made. 99Tiger, I wasn't exactly posting smack when I said that about your team. Judging from the butt-whipping I readily expected that Bowling Green would put on you, what I said appears more to be fact.

This comment I made, 99Tiger, was smack talk:

<span style='color:blue'>"Memphis is overrated and Bowling Green will show your kittens just how good they ain't."</span>

And from what I understand, Bowling Green did beat Memphis in the GMAC Bowl to the tune of 52-35.

Something else I said:

<span style='color:blue'>"Give me Bowling Green and Cincinnati covering.

Troy, UConn, and Iowa State will win their games as well.

1-4. You saw it here first, so when it actually happens you won't be surprised."</span>

Don't disappoint me Marshall. You're supposed to lose today and Cincy is supposed to cover their 2-point spread. And while I did pick UConn and Iowa State to win, I really would prefer the non-BC$ teams (Toledo and Miami of Ohio) to win because I dislike the BC$ and all the schools affiliated with the BC$ in the context of their selfishness and bullish manner toward the five non-BC$ leagues.</span></span></span>

<span style='font-family:Times'><span style='font-size:12pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:blue'>Oh well, then again. When I think of the quality of teams CUSA is getting football-wise in Central Florida, SMU, Rice, and Tulsa, then there really isn't much competition for the CUSA title.

Oh well, looks like Southern Miss will own CUSA from here on out. Trust me on this one. Marshall isn't good enough to beat Southern Miss nor will the "Thundering" Herd ever be really good enough to beat the Golden Eagles.

Marshall can recruit the poorest state in the union all it wants to up there in West Virginia, but we are finding more and more that Marshall is a sissy in disquise capitalizing winning season after winning season by beating up weak competition in the Mid-American Conference. It's not like you ever played a good CUSA team in the Motor City Bowl. It's not like you ever drew a Louisville, Southern Miss, or Texas Christian. Trust me, Marshall's Motor City Bowl victories would've been few and far between going up against those CUSA juggernauts.

We saw Troy beat Marshall in consecutive years. That tells me more about how Marshall does against southern teams of equal or greater status in college football.

Marshall couldn't win the MAC this year. They couldn't beat Troy. They couldn't beat anyone that was worth a damn. Next year will begin it all for your team in CUSA, and Marshall will definitely not win CUSA in 2005. That is a promise you can take to the bank right now! You will simply not be good enough to win that conference especially next year!

But even if you don't you should be proud because you're almost in Heaven though your school also is located in America's most poverty-stricken state! Congratulations!</span></span></span>

Isn't this a MAC board? Why is this MTSU guy coming over here stirring up crap and saying the MAC will be 1-4 in bowl games?

I'm not sure. Is it possible that his own people don't
consider him - or his big, bright, blue type - tres chic?
Who keeps inviting this idiot Sun Belt poster over?

He can't contend for the SUN BELT yet he runs his mouth about other teams.

I think he is Kit-Kat's brother.
Yes Marshall has easily defeated the "juggernaut" Louisville in bowl play.

And let us not forget their victory over highly ranked Kansas St.

It isn't even smack talk if what your saying is riddled with inaccuracies. Just bullschmidt.

Why do you say that? Could it be that Southern Miss kicked the crap out of your fellow brethren in North Texas?? So now you have jumped on the their bandwagon because they made North Texas look like chumps?? Let me let you in on a little secret: <span style='color:blue'>THEY WERE PLAYING NORTH TEXAS!!</span>

<span style='font-family:Times'><span style='font-size:12pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:blue'>But Southern Miss is very unpredictable. They could suck it up one week like they did against Memphis and then turn around for their biggest win of the season like they did against North Texas.

It's no lie. This season, Southern Miss could beat anyone in the Mid-American Conference including Bowling Green, and yes, I'm well aware of the fact that BG beat Memphis who beat Southern Miss, but like I said, Southern Miss is unpredictable. They are capable of beating any team in the MAC at any time.</span></span></span>

<span style='font-family:Times'><span style='font-size:12pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:blue'>2-0 so far in prediction of MAC bowl games. Hope you weren't one who predicted a Marshall win.</span></span></span>
Hey BuRP, do you really think UCONN will beat Toledo? I feel pretty confident about that game. Probably even more than our boys against the mighty Troy State. They way I see it, your mighty conference will be 0-2 when it is all said and done and the schools representing our conference next year will be 4-0. 04-rock

<span style='font-family:Times'><span style='font-size:12pt;line-height:100%'><span style='color:blue'>UConn's track record against schools like Toledo is very good. They have an outstanding offense. UConn has found ways to win it's games. I expect Toledo and UConn to be very close--much closer than the MAC's previous two bowl games.

Don't get me wrong. It wouldn't break my heart completely to see a BC$ school fall to a MAC team, I just have my doubts right there.

As for Troy, their defense is ranked 13th in the nation and Northern Illinois has done awful this year against good defenses. Troy plays up to their competition. They are well aware of Northern Illinois' track record and certainly wouldn't take NIU as light as they did New Mexico State or Arkansas State. Troy's defense will get it done for them against NIU. I can't say that I'd be totally surprised to see Troy lose, because they obviously can, but I'd would be surprised if Northern Illinois lit them up. But, I'm thinking it'll be scoring in the teens or twenties with Troy winning by maybe a touchdown or less.</span></span></span>

This is plain ridiculous!
Beating North Texas could never be characterized as anyone's biggest win of the season.
Not on this message board or any message board outside of Sun Belt country.

Really? Please name for me ONE team UConn has played that is "like Toledo", and give examples of the similarities.
