Well now....How about this? Both the men and women hoops teams are in first place in the West. BG beat up NIU 78-67 today at Anderson Arena and are now 9-2, 3-0 MAC! Reimold and Almanson each scored 21 today.
Yesterday, the women spanked WMU on the road, 80-67, and have won 6 straight. BG is 9-4, 2-0 MAC and has a big ole rematch with Eastern Michigan this Wed night. BG and EMU met in the finals of the MAC Tourney last spring with EMU winning 65-56. Should be one of the best games of the year.
Don't forget hockey either! BG swept Alaska-Fairbanks this weekend 6-2 and 6-1. Now 10-7-3, 7-5-2 CCHA, BG only trails Michigan, Ohio State & Nebraska-Omaha in the standings. BG is tied with Northern Michigan for 4th and will play the Wildcats in 2 weeks @ NMU.
