Maybe this is a poorly written title, but I was wondering if there is any possible way to get one of the "fake newspapers" that the team was holding up to show the crowd in their victory celebration. I was there and it appeared that they just handed them out to the team at the end of the game. Just wondering if it was possible that someone got their hands on a bunch and wouldn't mind parting with one. I am bringing back my baseball card collecting days of childhood with all the Huskie memorbilia, Turner cards, pennants, etc. that I have collected in the last two years. This would be a great addition... if only I could find one.
Apparently nobody has any of these. But for the curious, this is what I am talking about.

Try contacting the Daily Chronicle. Most likely, those papers were fake - or preview - copies of the Daily Chronicle because the title "Valley Victory!" was the exact same title of the lead first section article in the December 31, 2004 edition of the Daily Chronicle.
Thanks for the tip!
Also... anyone have any extra copies of the Northern Star when classes started again?
I would assume they made a special issue for the win.
Forgot to tell my wife to pick up one and I don't have the luxury of going to class anymore.
Hey, its Nick from the Daily Chronicle.
Try calling Steve Nemeth at 815-756-4841 ext 5 and ask him. I'm sure there is a way to get an extra copy or two.

Hey, Nick, good for you to join us here. I want to tell you that the Chronicle rocks.
Although I am from out of town, I have a mail subscription to the Chronicle and simply cannot live without it! Your coverage of the Huskies is second to none, and I enjoy reading about what's happening in DeKalb County. I urge everyone to subscribe to this worthy paper. If you live outside of DeKalb County, a mail subscription (second class mail) is only $41.40 for a 12-week subscription. Have it sent to your home or office. We need to support institutions that support the Huskies, and the Chronicle is a good one.
Nick,
Thanks for the tip! I'm sick from work today, so maybe I'll get time to give him a call.
This will make a great (and unique) addition to my Huskie memorbilia collection.
The wife and I are looking for a house and a big plus is a rec room to display all the pennants, cards, and of course the two diplomas.
Thanks again!
