Way to go HERD!
Nice win!
Sweet!!! Helps BG's RPI and strength of schedule :)
I'm guessing WVU beat up on D2 teams for a while to get to 11 wins?

Now they'll never schedule the Herd in hoops either.
Great win! Nice to see possibly the worst team in the MAC this year, beat a Top 25 team from the Big East!
Congratulations, Herd.
Great win! I suppose if the Herd could have picked one game they wanted to win, this would have been it.
WVU were pretenders in the top 25--they won't even sniff the top 50 after a couple more weeks. Shows what being in a big time conference will do for you if you schedule patsies to start the season to pad your wins. Had they been a MAC team with those wins, they would not be getting many votes at all.
And now they won't be getting many votes at all. Way to take those poseurs down!

GW, St. Bonnie, LSU and NCSU are patsies?

GW, LSU, and NCSU are fine.
Everyone knew St. Bonnie was a train wreck this year, and they are: ranked #324 out of #331. The overall schedule strength is #202.
They can schedule whomever they want, but there hasn't been much evidence this year that WVU was a top 25 team, and the evidence has mounted quickly that they are not. Losing by 38 to 'Nova and losing to a 2-10 Marshall team on a neutral court is much cleare evidence than wins over Radford, Duquesne, NH, and James Mad.
Beating LSU on the road was good. But I'll stick with my point: substitute BG's name for WVU on that schedule and it would not have been in the top 25.
Wow....I thought that score was wrong on the ESPN scroll last night.

Congrats Marshall! 04-bow
Every single year we play the blew and yeller we lose by a close margin and it's normally a heartbreaker like a 25 foot shot being heaved up while falling away from the basket going in. (Happened 2 years ago I think). When we missed the front end of a 1 and 1 and their big guy tossed up a prayer from way beyond NBA 3 point land and it went in cutting the lead to 2, with 7.3 seconds left, I thought, "here we go again." Fortunately, A.W. Hamilton sank 2 foul shots with 6.5 seconds left to up the lead to 4. Whew.

It's really sad how far our baskteball program has fallen from where it was 20-30 years ago. I remain the eternal optimist and hope that Ron Jirsa can bring us at least back to the level of respectability. We shall see.
