10-2 Ohio at the under 16 timeout.
Ohio is 47-6 all time at home against Kent State and 82-32 overall. Bobcats are a rare 1 1/2 point underdog at home against Kent today.
Kent with a run of their own ...10-8 Ohio
Now 10-8, @ 14:00. Has OU missed a shot? We started 1/7. 03-banghead
17-13 Ohio, 11:39 left.

Kent hits 3 straight 3s to cut the deficit, but has seen its front-court get in some foul trouble early. OU shooting 60% from the field early on.
No shots for Williams yet.

Go Jets. Pittsburgh sucks
Meanwhile, CMU storms back to beat NIU 72-63 at home. Seemd like NIU was leading the whole way until under 5 minutes, though I didn't follow it closely.
Kent is 1-6 from the FT line early. Meanwhile, OU freshman PG Jeremy Fears is outplaying Kent's DeAndre Haynes. Fears has 8 points, 2 assists, only 1 turnover, and has forced Haynes into 3 turnovers already...

Ohio 32-19, 3:23 remaining.
35-19 Ohio!
This could be Fears breakout game folks. Fears and Williams will set all kinds of career records if they start and stay all four years.
Kent goes on a quick 7-0 run to end the half. 38-28 Bobcats.
38-28 Ohio at halftime. Kent cuts a 16 point deficit to 10
Flashes down by 18, rally in the last minute+: OU 38, KSU 28. at the half. Finally some life.
Good half overall for cats. Kent starting to get it going. It will be interesting to see how this young Bobcat team handles the pressure of Kent in the second half. Lots of turnovers in the first half. Kent State shot poorly in the first half. Playing with a big lead is new for this Ohio team. Hope they can close it out. This still should end up very close. Typical MAC game.
The first 5 minutes will be important. If Christian can "outcoach" O'Shea at the half, and Kent continues it's run early, OU might be in trouble. If the 'Cats can maintain and/or extend the lead early, we'll be tough to beat today.
