Yeah. That's it. We're draggin' you down.

*******.
If you can't plainly tell that OHIO is better school in any perceptible way of quantifying it, your an idiot. The difference between OHIO and BG is the same kind of difference between UNC and ECU.

Yes, the MAC holds the image of my university back. No doubt about it.

And don't give me that OSU first bull crap. The top two public universities in Ohio are Miami not Ohio State. Findlay is 20 miles from BG. Out of the top 10 graduating seniors in 2004, two decided on public schools. One went to Ohio University and the other went to Miami University. Face it BG is a commuter school it its own backyard. Ohio is three hours from Findlay yet, students would prefer to go there than BG. Its time to wake up.

I'm sick of being stuck in a league with Marshall-type athletics at all costs schools with snarky attitudes. Can you blame me for laughing at your bogus schools? I don't even think that highly of my own school but for peat sakes it is and was designed to be a flagship level university. And by any measure from selectivity, academic offerings, endowment, graduation rates, competitive awards its comparable to a flagship level institution.

As long as you think BG or UT is a better school than Ohio I'm going to be offended. Or the knowing that you suck, OU must because it plays in the MAC line of thinking.

BG is a top 10 public university in Ohio. OU has its sights set on being a top 10 public university in the country. You're not an institutional peer of my school, so why don't you give up trying to talk us down to your level.
If you're going to keep putting yourself and your school at a higher level than everyone else, I think it's time you start proofreading your posts. Grammar mistakes negate alot of what you're trying to prove. "We is the best school" just won't cut it for someone of your high intelligence.

Quote:Out of the top 10 graduating seniors in 2004, two decided on public schools. One went to Ohio University and the other went to Miami University.

Are you serious in your argument that OU is a better school because one person went there? maybe they had a sick parent/granparent in town that they go far from. Or maybe they were just afraid that you wouldn't stop stalking them until they agreed to go there.
Kit-Cat Wrote:Findlay is 20 miles from BG. Out of the top 10 graduating seniors in 2004, two decided on public schools. One went to Ohio University and the other went to Miami University.
You are using THIS as an argument of how OU is better than BG?

Ask youself a question, admiral. How many high school seniors want to STAY CLOSE TO HOME for their schooling?

Think, McFly. Think.

Psst. 'You're' instead of 'your'. Also, please don't be intimidated by commas. They are here to help all of us.
Quote:If its not an indicator of a good university, then why are we tied with Emory, Vanderbilt, and Rice in the Rankings?

Sounds more like where your football team compares than to where your academics compare.

Cal - Berkley and Carnegie Mellon are currently providing grief counseling to students who missed out on OU.

Of course, OU no doubt won its reputation on that site on the backs of studens like this...

If its not an indicator of a good university, then why are we tied with Emory, Vanderbilt, and Rice in the Rankings? Those 3 schools along with Duke are considered the Ivy league of the south.

I'm just tired of the disrespect of my school on this board and the athletic association with commuter schools in the MAC.

I give talks to HS Seniors interested in OU from out-of-state and I'll get questions like "Is this a commuter school?". To me thats an absurd question because OU is the classic example of a residential campus, but it must be coming from the perception of our MAC affiliation.
The Gators are ranked way ahead of OU,Vandy, and Emory it should tell you something about this ranking.
Folks, never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

I have three words for you to think about when someone with only a rudimentary grasp of spelling, grammar and punctuation starts mouthing off about education. Consider the source.

Cmon guys, we know that Kit-Cat is an alias for this guy who goes around message boards and tries to create controversy surrounding OU. Ignore him and he'll go away. Maybe I'll create a new name like Falcon-Freak or Rocket-Rick and go around other message boards proclaiming my schol as the best until I annoy every poster on the board until they begin to hate BG or Toledo. We'll see how other peopel like having their school desparaged because of one crazy poster. This guy is a disgrace.
I've always assumed it was his real name.

You are so quick to point out that the MAC was founded by OU. Does that mean you did it to yourselves? How can you say an organization you created is dragging you down? You have a huge inferiority complex and the funny part is no one thinks OU is inferior; they just don't give a flying phuck.

What is it you want? Are you trying to get the posters on this board to make a formal statement that your school is the best? Everybody here is a fan of the school they represent and therefore believe that the school they root for is the best. Take your diatribe to non-biased potential students and let them stroke your ego.

Expansions and shifts just occurred this year and no one came knocking on your door. The Big East and ACC had ample opportunity to pick OU up and none even considered you. It is obvious to most of us that despite what you think OU's reputation is, the outside world doesn't even know you exist.

The MAC is not dragging you down; you are dragging the MAC down. Go post this on the academic fan forums. Oh wait there aren't any, lol. Wonder why.
Wow kit kat---i like ou--i think it's a great school and am proud to have it in ohio--and was considering going there--now i am really glad i didn't if there are a lot of people like you there...
Check out this link to the worst weatherman EVER. And guess what. It is WOUB which appears to be OU's student/university run station. Another quality OU grad soon to enter the world!

Not at all. Post it daily if you'd like. This board is just full of asshats. You couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting one. :D

Can't argue with that.
