Conversely, I'd be fine if we just forfeited the game w Wright. :rolleyes: These bracket buster games are great for teams in the running, but they're really a waste of time for teams like us and Wright. There is almost nothing to be gained from winning that game, and I'd rather see our guys rest for a couple days rather than travel all the way over there.....
the "pineapple" for every spongebob bball team is knowing that the visitors get a committment for a home game next season.

lets go SIU! first time that we get to see em on TV this year...i really wish we could get more MVC games up here in Northern Illinois..
why cheer for SIU over a MAC school when the busters are about conference bragging rights and potential NCAA bids.....

maybe because I dont like the MAC? MAC might get 2 bids at the most in the tourny...IMO thats all they deserve.

"my act is getting old?" why cause I could care less about the rest of the MAC? why does that make me a troll? give me a break dude. I bet your also one of the people that think the MAC conference is a "basketball conference." The MAC will not be a basketball conference for a long time. It's a football conference. Just because I like NIU doesn't mean I have to root for the rest of the MAC.
I dont quoite know what defines the standard for being labled a bball or football conference other than the obvious biggies like ACC and SEC.
However, the MAC's RPI ratings are pretty much in the middle of the pack when comparing other leagues in both football and bball.
I too would cheer for SIU in football but not against MAC teams nor would I want a WIU to ever beat a MAC team - even a Toledo.
If your intelligent and you are an NIU fan, you would root for the rest of the MAC (even Toledo..
) because it makes us look better if the MAC plays well in OOC games...
if we were in contention to win the regular season title, then yes. But the only way were gettin in the tourny is if we win the conference tournament, so therefore really none of these games matter much except ours.
