Excellent write-up and breakdown by Fred:

I noticed Fred kept the 40 times, vertical jump, and poundages out of the article- some of the most impressive stuff. We could probably field
a pretty good track or BB team from this group. The big question is will Toledo be seeing a Bru's Room soon?(Bob Brudzinski has several spots bars throughout S.FL.-NFL,MudHens,Rocket/Falcon theme would be nice).
Looks like you guys did the same thing with that St Thomas HS in Fla as we (NIU) did with Chicago Morgan Park.

Do you realize that we got 3 kids from that Chicago Morgan Park team as well. Plus our bad Big 11 State school also got one player from that school. That's 5 players at least from Chicago Morgan Park that are going D-1.

It's great that the MAC is recruiting well.

Good Luck next season (except against us, of course 03-razz )

You did very well! But of course, you are now THE PROGRAM in the Illini
State.Good Luck to the Huskies!!!
I think that most of the MAC schools did a very good job of recruiting this year. This conference is going to be more competitive in the coming years. Not sure if that is a good thing or not though.

If teams win OOC, it will be fine.

Lose, even close games, and it will be a problem.
[quote]In talking about his running back recruit from New Jersey, Dajuane Collins, Amstuz had this to say, “ He’s a special football player and he had over fifty scholarship offers. He’s outstanding on both sides of the football and he’s an excellent wrestler. [b]He reminds me of Mike Tyson in a football uniform.

He's already sworn to bite Wolfe's ear off and spit it back into his face.
How could anybody use that as a compliment? Geez.
Seriously, DaJuane Collins has made people miss and broken tackles like nothing I have ever seen before. This kid had over 50 scholarship offers, and they say he is an even better DB which is why many schools wanted him to play DB instead of running back. I still don't know how Toledo got him and I can't figure out how Scout.com thinks he is just a 2 star!

I think the idea is that he is one tough SOB, like Mike was before he fired his original trainer. After he did that and lost to Buster Douglas, his personality changed and he became a freak. You have to distinguish the two Mike Tyson's here. Remember back in the day when everyone thought he was cool and everyone played Mike Tyson's Punchout video game?

And if I am wrong, let's hope he keeps his helmet on and his mouthpiece in his mouth! :D

He won't be able to keep up with the MAC's leading rusher! 04-rock

So you are saying that Wolfe is going to run like a baby this time instead of trying to break up a fight? 03-razz :ducking:

I suppose that with Toledo Tom on the sideline, there is always a chance that an opposing player could end up as a midday snack. :arse:

I wasn't really thinking during the game, but more like pre-game as in the night before.

During the game, Collins won't be chasing after Wolfe and Wolfe won't be chasing after Collins because they are both running backs.......but of course you already knew that. 03-wink

I didn't say "catch", I said "keep up with". :D

You might be right there. NIU has to rely on Wolfe to carry the load, because without him they are not a great team. After all, that is what NIU said after the game against UT when NIU was held to 17 points for the game and none in the 2nd half.

As for Collins and Toledo, he won't start at Toledo next season and he won't be our primary weapon because we have so many.
