If you have not yet recently read vandelaysports.com and the balanced assessment of T-Herd football and their exit , then do so - it's good.

The only thing missing is all the allegations of their alleged questionable practices in the classroom , recruiting Q's and off field issues all of which conrtributed to raising the bar.

If you need a Randy Moss to get to the next level, is there a message for all aspiring programs in their drive to be an elite program? What and how many risks with recruits of questionable character make it all worthwhile?

It feels sorta feels strange saying so ,.... but - thanx Marshall for helping make the Huskies a better football program.

I agree with the assessment that Marshall helped us to understand ourselves and expect to win these other D1 games against the larger programs. We have committed athletes who can physically compete with the other teams and we have great coaching. We are fortunate right now to have Coach Novak and his staff and I certainly hope that Coach Solich going to Ohio is an indication of the way that coaches are going.

Yes I am naive and know that the other schools are able to pay more to their coaches right now. That is just another reason that I truly admire what Coach Novak is doing here at NIU. He has the strength to build a program that is now a winner and did not bolt to a different school. Marshall in a perverse way did help all of the MAC no matter what you thought of their program.
